Parameter Remarks
Stack Type Sets the protocol type in accordance with the network type.
l IPv4: To enable the IPv4 address, you need to configure the
parameters related to the IPv4 protocol, including IPv4 address type,
IP address, subnet mask, and Gateway.
l IPv6: To enable the IPv6 address mode, you need to configure the
parameters related to the IPv6 protocol, including IPv6 address type,
IP address, Prefix Length, and Gateway.
This version does not support interconnection between IPv4 terminals
and IPv6 terminals.
1-9
Parameter Remarks
IPV4 Address Select from the three options according to the network condition.
Type l Static IP: assigns a fixed IP address to a terminal.
l DHCP: DHCP SERVER automatically assigns an IP address to a
terminal.
l PPPoE: The terminal uses ADSL dial-up access to connect the
network.
IP Ad- l If the address type is Static IP, you need to manually enter the IP
dress/Sub- address/subnet mask/gateway address allocated by the network
net administrator.
Mask/Gate- l If the address type is DHCP or PPPoE, the terminal automatically
way searches and obtains the IP address/subnet mask/gateway address.
DNS If the address type is Static IP, or DHCP and the Get DNS Automatically
is disabled, you can set the DNS. If DNS is not used, do not set it.
If DNS is used, the domain names of the SNTP server, GK server, SIP
server, SNMP server and LDAP server can be resolved.
Get DNS Au- If the address type is set to DHCP, you can set whether to enable the
tomatically function of automatically acquiring the DNS address from the server.
Dialing If the address type is PPPoE, you need to set this parameter. Two options
Mode are available: Auto and Manual.
l Auto: The terminal establishes a connection to the IP network after it
is started or the network connection parameters are configured.
l Manual: when the terminal is configured, select PPPoE Dial
to initiate a call through the IP network. After initiating the call
successfully, the network address details display on the screen.
User If the address type is PPPoE, you need to set this parameter.
Name/Pass- The user name and password are provided by the network access
word provider.
1-10
Parameter Remarks
IPV6 Address Select an address type in accordance with the current network.
Type l Static IP: IP addresses of a terminal are allocated by the network
administrator. To select this option, you need to enter IP address,
subnet mask, and gateway address of the local terminal.
l DHCP and static IP are manually exclusive. If this function is
selected, the IP address that the DHCP server automatically allocates
will be used and you do not need to configure the following options.
Get DNS Au- If the address type is set to DHCP, you can set whether to enable the
tomatically function of automatically acquiring the DNS address from the server.
DNS If the address type is set to Static IP, or DHCP and the Get DNS
Automatically is disabled, the DNS address can be set. If no DNS is
available, you do not have to set this parameter.
If the DNS is used, the domain names of the SNTP server, GK server,
SIP server, SNMP server, and LDAP server can be analyzed. Thus, the
domain names can be used as the address.
