Objectives

Explain the European Union and what it is meant to do.

Explain how the European Union and the United States compare and contrast.

Identify and explain how humans have tried to manage their natural resources
This lesson is designed to help students grasp some of the complexities of modern
society. Among these complexities are global organizations, or governments, that
try to help limit the effects of human development around the world. The European
Union is one such organization and tries to promote environmentally conscious
policies to help the participating countries to limit their pollution and thus reduce
their harm upon the planet around us.
