This I Believe

I believe in Racism in our country. I believe that everybody should be

treated fairly with kind of respect. No matter what color, race, and language

anybody speaks, people should be treated with respect. In this country that I

live in, I have seen partial equality towards other races and do get along, but

the rest its just sad and chaos, makes America look horrible, even though

America is the diverse country out of the world. America has Diversity

people living here speaking different languages. I myself speak English and

Spanish, Spanish was my primary as I grew up but I am great in English, too.

I am proud of to be Mexican-Salvadorian American, and I am not ashamed. I

believe in equality for this country in every single race to get along because

were humans and no one should get treated different and unfairly.

In many occasions, Racism is big into workforces, schools/colleges, and

public areas. People that speaks another language or looks like a foreigner,

usually gets criticized by how they speak or not speaking correctly in the

language they must learn or just because theyre not American, they will get

discriminated and in my point, I dont like that, its very offensive and gets

me bothered. For example, Hispanics immigrated into this country called

America, to have a better future for their families and they will work so hard
to what it takes to survive in this country. Or even undocumented students

wanting a better education and succeed in this country with a great future.

People have dreams and they want to accomplish it and my opinion, it will be

amazing for those students to accomplish their goals. In this case, people will

discriminate those types of people just because their immigrants and dont

have documentation in America, they will put them down just because of

their race. I also been watching about articles in my local news channels

races are considered rapists or criminals and theyre point against the

Blacks, Hispanics, etc. Not all races are criminals and rapists and what I see

is that theyre just blaming on these types of races and ethnicities because

they have a high rate of people in the country and suggesting that they will

be blamed for it. In my opinion this is wrong for trying to consider people

from other races to be considered criminals, like I said not all of them are

and they have things wanted to get accomplish in this country.

Not only in racism effects workforces, as well Schools has a big issue

with racism. There has been a lot of fights, school security hitting and

controlling students into the wrong way, and by students viewing situations

like this, it makes it become even more worse into the public-school systems

all around the United States. Its wrong to see kids going through that

because it does immediately do get bad and it is affecting the students

education because they must watch out for each other or their own. For a

racist situation, its starts by screaming or yelling a wrong terminology

towards another. Kids think that its funny. Its not because thats how
fights start in schools and everybody will get involved. Anything from

description to common-known racial words, it should end. Kids at a early age

should not have this happening. Another example is when school security

handles students from fights. For example, an officer tazzes and drop hard

knock to an African-American teenage female on the ground like nothing?

The female could of have a serious injury going on and of course the officer

doing his duties arresting the female person. My thing is Officers get physical

training for this but for a female to drop her like that and that she opposite

color from her? I dont think that is okay and as well, again students start to

get crazy when it comes to fights and racial comments, they will get crazy.

Finally, an example thats been all over is protesting for rights of races. The

most popular one is Black Lives Matters. In occasions in Charlotte, In the

city we had a couple protest signifying about the black community. Officers

shooting a suspect person thinking the committed doing the crime and

didnt. It really hurts to see the community getting divided after so long, all

the community would get along and now its like war zone in the United

states, and for myself I hate seeing those things. Especially when its the

news, it distraught me so much that I dont like seeing the diverse

community getting into big situations like that but theyre doing for their

communities and having each other backs.

I believe that the Diverse community would come along together like

Family and treat each other right. I would love to see no hate on race, color,

or language-speaking. No negativity towards each other, just care one

another. All the current situation is not okay for our country, The United

States of America, because were the only country being diverse for better

future for the families coming from foreign areas. I believe in Racism in our

society, for myself we can make change, and I am not the only one. But as a

community together we can unite and make the country better and I am

hoping for American citizens to join us and understand for our country.
