The Azusa Street Revival Code

When most examine the Azusa Street Revival that began in Los Angeles, California in the early
1900's, they seek a code (or method) for how to replicate such a revival. Most are misled with
the suggestion to start looking into 2 Chronicles 7:14 for this code. While there is no doubt that
there is a valid connection to this scripture, there are other scriptures that fit better. For example,
examine the words of Isaiah that are found in Isaiah 58. It was this model that Yahushua set for
his disciples (John 13:29; Matthew 25:31-46; etc.) and one they continued to follow up to and
after the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:44-45). This same model was followed by those involved in
the Azusa Street Revival, but you must examine the history more carefully to find this
information. Otherwise it is often overlooked, especially given the fact this Biblical model is not
plainly spoken of in most historical writings on the Azusa Street Revival.

The 100-year old prophecy from Azusa is also upon us, a prophecy that indicated that another
Azusa-like revival will occur. My prediction is that this will occur among those who follow the
Isaiah 58 model, coupled with the similar principles laid out in 2 Chronicles 7:14. The Isaiah 58
model is not an easy code to follow, and it is quite costly. See the Fasting page to learn more
about the Isaiah 58 principle, a YHWH-chosen fast that changes lifestyles, habits, behaviors, not
for a day or two, but permanently.

Thus, the Revival Code Must Include the Following (a combination of Isaiah 58, 2 Chronicles
7:14, and Acts 2:42-45):

1. Humility
2. Prayer/Seeking YHWH's face
3. Repentance (change)
4. Continuing in the Apostle's doctrine
5. Fasting - A specific fast that YHWH Chose (true complete charity, resulting in "having things
in common")
6. Fellowship (house to house gatherings, breaking of bread, Praising YHWH within the "things
in common" environ)
7. Expectation

In addition to the above necessary elements it is vitally important that one recognizes the
YHWH-factor. In other words, divine timing, divine will, and divine purpose. Although the 120
followers of HaMashiyach were gathered together in one accord, in one place (in the upper
room), in prayer, in humility, seeking YHWH's face, living a repented life, and anticipating the
promise, the outpouring did not occur until YHWH decided to do so and not a second before.
When the Day of Pentecost was FULLY come, then the divine miracle happened, YHWH sent
forth HIS Spirit in a rushing, mighty, dynamic, broad sweeping way.

Nonetheless, the prerequisite is that those seeking and desiring an Azusa Street (or an apostolic
Pentecost) revival/outpouring must first meet the minimum requirements while simultaneously
prayerfully and patiently wait on YHWH to perform HIS promise. The amount of time the 120
waited in the upper room ranges from 7 to 43, but it seems more likely that is was between 7 and
10 days (based on modern calendars) since HaMashiyach was with the disciples for 40 days after
His resurrection. Given that Pentecost occurred 50 days after the Passover and HaMashiyach
arose 3 days after Passover, and given that HaMashiyach was with his disciples for 40 days, one
could conclude the following: 50 days minus 40 minus 3 equals 7 or (50-40)-3=7. Either way,
there was a serious 7-day (or more) commitment on the part of the 120. Most likely, everything
stopped in their lives as they waited and prayed (perhaps 24 hours around the clock) in the upper
room. Similar commitments can be found with both the Azusa Street and Topeka Kansas
outpouring/revival. Can such groups of people be found today?
