3. TASM2M Telemetry Solution

Description:

Typical Solar Power Plant consists of MFM meter/PLC/SCADA for HT Control panels. These
MFM Meters will be interfaced with TASM2M Remote Gateway through RS485 or any
standard communication protocol.

The data captured by M2M gateway from SOLAR POWER PLANT will be sent to TAS M2M
Master gateway through Internet(VSAT/GPRS/Lease Line) at the SLDC site through
TASM2M Cloud management.

The proposed M2M Master gateway will communicate with SCADA via IEC60870-5-
101/104 protocols and report the desired Solar PV Plant Data to SCADA.

As per CERC Guidelines data update rate of 30 sec is required which we comply through
fast update of M2M gateway and TASM2M Cloud management.

As per the SLDC following parameters will be made available using the Proposed TAS M2M
Telemetry System:

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE FOR TELEMETRY/M2M SOLUTION

Description for Telemetry (M2M) solution proposed

There is One Feeder (25MW) at Urvakonda and two Feeders (20MW & 19.9MW) at Guntakal
Substations.
The MFM/ABT meters in each Feeder of Urvakonda is connected to TAS M2M remote Gateway via
RS-485 MODBUS. The TAS M2M Remote Gateway is then interfaced with the PLCC PUNCOM Make
PL-9500 (Ver 01) via RS-422 Communication.
The data Pack of the Feeders at Urvakonda Substation is transmitted to Guntakal Substation via PLCC
network.
Similarly A remote TAS M2M gateway shall be connected to MFM/ABT Meters of two Feeders of
Guntakal Substation and shall be interfaced with the Guntakal PLCC.
From Guntakal Substation Data Packs of Urvakonda substation and Guntakal Substations together
will be sent to Gooty RS using PLCC Network where Via FOC panel all the substation data will be sent
to Gooty SS.
M/s Suzlon shall provide the PLCC Panel/FOC Panel communication protocol details for effective
communication to be established

The proposed M2M gateway will communicate with ALDC/SLDC SCADA via & IEC104 protocols and
report these meter data to SCADA. The expected update rate of 10 seconds will be achieved through
fast update of M2M Gateway. The SCADA configuration for these two meters can be done into
SCADA so that the real time meter data can be monitored and shown as trend, history, alarm (if
configured) and shall be exported to custom reports for further analysis/billing.

Amanora Facility Management System

Introduction

Total Automation Solution offers automation, SCADA and instrumentation engineered systems
solutions to the areas like oil and gas industry, Building Management System. This includes from
concept design to commissioning and start up on turnkey basis. Here TAS is giving solution for
Building Management System to Amanora Park Town Pune.
Amanora Park Town is privately managed residential Township managed by City Corporation
Limited. It is developed in 400 acre in Hadapsar Pune. This is Indias first digital township.

Scope of Project

This Amanora Park Town Residential Township is having prepaid metering system for the utilities like
Energy, Gas and water.They awarded the contract for supply, implementation, integration and
maintenance of Scada Software/System.

Solution

TAS has supplied Remote Telemetry System for gathering field data by using M2M solution, Data
Master and ZenonSCADA system. The Prime Function of the system is to provide safe and efficient
operation of following areas.

connected to scada system. MS Windows based 32 bit Zenon SCADA was chosen for monitoring and

ports and more.
TASM2M Redundant M2M solution for GCS, MCS and Metrix locations is high end M2M solution
with redundant Ethernet communication ports to communicate on redundant communication
network between GCS, MCS and Metrix on Fiber optic.
Executed system is complete in all respect and it is scalable for more than 500 wells, 9 GCS stations
and more number of customer stations.
The offered system is rugged and well proven for oil and gas field requirements. This system is well
proven and being used by many customers across the globe one such customer in Australia is Add
Energy for their CBM fields.

Radio based solution for data collection from wells and sending to nearest GCS station. Since the
distance is between 500 meters to 3km with clear line of site, this is the best solution as customer
will not be dependent on network availability of mobile service provider and also almost no running
cost. Customer will own the assets and there is risk of increasing the running cost as against the
mobile services cost. This has significant advantages against mobile service network.

Navigation for Remote Well Monitoring & Control:
Well Pulse automation system allows operators to monitor well sites and make changes remotely,
enabling each operator to manage more and more number of wells than before the system was
put into place and helping customer bring online more and more wells as more and more wells get
drilled every year. This results more efficiently utilizing its existing operator staff.
Integration of Gas Meters with Well Pulse CBM Well Head monitoring Solution:
Water production information is important for reporting purposes to the Customer for
Environmental Quality. Produced Water Metering for accountability with
integrated monitoring using turbine meters. The output is terminated at the local M2M solution
and totalized, and the data are logged by the M2M solution.
The calculated water level can then be used for control purposes by the local remote terminal unit
(M2M solution).
Each of the well operators was to remotely access, monitor, collect, and even make operational
changes in their own wellhead locations.
Water level, pump loading, water and gas production rates are the fundamentals of optimization
Level control is done simply by switching the pump on and off, but in most cases, a variable

Daleel Well Head Automation

Introduction

Total Automation Solution offers automation, SCADA and instrumentation engineered systems
solutions to the oil and gas industry, from concept design to commissioning and start up on turnkey
basis
Daleel Petroleum LLC isa multi-million $ company in Oman who operates oil and gas field in north
Oman. They have more than 500 oil and gas wells. Daleel is collaborated with CNPC China and are in
this business for more than 30 years.

Scope of Project

Daleel has more than 500 oil and gas wells in this field and they were looking for automation of
these wells. They awarded the contract for 150 wells on EPC basis to Total Automation Solutions
(TAS) in phased manner. The project scope included complete design, engineering, supply, factory
acceptance testing, site installation and commissioning of field instruments, M2M solution and
SCADA system.

Solution

TAS has supplied state of the art wireless HART solution for field data gathering, M2M solution and
ICONICS SCADA system. The Prime Function of the system is to provide safe and efficient operation
of oil and gas wells. Data gathering from field, Beam pump and ESP, historisation and reports
generation.

Complete project is divided in to two phases. TAS has supplied state of the art wireless transmitters
with HART functionality. Ipm2m was chosen for data gathering. MS Windows based 64 bit ICONICS
SCADA was chosen for monitoring. ICONICS SCADA handles large amount of data with special
reports generation, Earthworks package for geographical location identification as 150 wells are
spread out on a large oil field.

TAS has also connected their oil field with their head office Muscat on VPN connectivity to monitor
real time data from oil fields centrally from head office.

Scope of Project
The Prime Function of the system is to provide safe and efficient operation of CNGstations and
uninterrupted gas supply to industrial customers with minimum loss ofunaccounted natural gas and
safe and efficient operation of CNG stations. Integrate allthe gas stations to head office for remote
monitoring and dash board information.

Monitor the inventory and price control from one single place that is head office.Operation of
Ahmedabad city gas distribution network is being distributed amongfollowing major categories
1. Industrial metering system
2. City gate station
3. Medium industries and commercial metering system
4. CNG stations

Solution
Since the customer wanted to develop custom made applications, and AGAcalculation for gas
metering, we selected the VT-UIPM-135D, which has 32MB ofDynamic RAM and 64MB of flash
memory to run several applications includingAGA calculations. And these can be run concurrently. In
addition, the unit offersvarious interface capabilities, such as Ethernet, RS-232 and RS-485.14 Nos of
VT-UIPM-135D are provided at Daughter/Booster CNG Stations. All
dispensers are connected to the VT-UIPM-135D on Modbus protocol. All otherdispensers not
supporting the Modbus are interfaced using the mass flow meters to theVT-UIPM-135D Each
daughter/Booster stations are connected to the central SCADAServer through VSAT Link. SCADA
Servers are directly communicating with the M2M solution. VSAT Antennas are provided at each
Booster/Daughter Stations
