ABSTRACT

Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death from cancer female genitals. The symptoms
of ovarian cancer such as lower abdomen distention, stress, and pain can also be found, weight
loss, menstrual disorders and inguinal gland enlargement. This study aims to find out more about
the symptoms and the incidence of disease in the ovaries kaker RSU Haji field period in 2014
based on age, marital status, occupation and ethnicity.

This research is descriptive and use and use secondary data by searching medical records
in RSU Haji Medan period in 2014 as many as 33 people.

The results of this study showed that of 33 patients with ovarian cancer in 2014 Period
RSU Haji Medan most are in the age group 51-60 years as many as 12 patients (36.3%), based
and lowest at 71-80 years of age by 1 person (3.03%), Most marital status of women are married
as many as 31 people (39.39%), and unmarried as many as 2 (6.06% ), Most work by
housewives as many as 21 people (63.63%), as well as the lowest on the work of private sector
employees by 1 person (3.03%), honorarium 1 (3.03%), Student 1 (3.03%), students one person
(3.03%), based on the rate that most parts of Jawa as many as 10 cases (30.30%), and the lowest
in parts of Aceh is 1 case (3.03%).

From the results of this study are expected no further studies to determine the
development of the number of patients with ovarian cancer around the world in order to reduce
the number of patients with ovarian cancer each year. And expected health care workers and the
community to work together to maintain the health and environmental sanitation to avoid ovarian
cancer.
