Dos and Donts with Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs

The following is a list of tips and guidelines in the hopes of insuring officer and public safety as well as aiding in the
gathering of intelligence related to outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMG).

Maintain professionalism: Bandidos and other OMG

members have been known to record or videotape their
interactions with law enforcement.

Look for a trail car: The trail car or chase car will be
transporting their weapons, etc.

Engine off, kick stand up, remain on bike: Their bikes

are valuable to them and this will limit their movements

Guns, whips, and knives: Almost all bikes and vests have
a pocket or holster for their knives. The braided whip will
be hanging off the clutch or handle bars. Be mindful of this
during pat searches.

Even the odds: Due to tenuous relations, dont approach a group without back up. And when possible,
approach the President or Vice President.

Be nice but not too nice: For the most part, they will return the favor of respectful behavior but be
cognizant of their tactics to extract information from you.

Colors: The front of a Bandidos colors can tell you their rank (if any) and the chapter they belong to.
Official Bandidos support clubs wear a circle patch saying I support Bandidos MC worldwide and will be
located on the front of their colors on the left side. They may also be wearing clothing with a stripe saying
Support Your Local Bandidos or SYLB, this is usually in yellow although may be seen in red.

Pocket trash is not trash: If taking a member into custody, make note of or photograph all pocket trash.
