applications Calc Scripts

Created By: Senthilnathan Subbaiyan

Purpose:

When loading data to Oracle Essbase or Oracle Hyperion Planning we can the trigger the
Essbase calculation scripts (.csc file) using FDMEE.

Calculation scripts are defined in Essbase and Planning.

We can parameterize script so that you can specify a parameter for each script. Pass the
parameters from FDMEE as runtime variable
Assign scripts to run before or after the data load.
Assign a scope of calc scripts. The scope can be at the Application, Category, Location, and
Data Rule level.

Note: If scripts are assigned at the lowest level, then they take precedence over script at
higher level. Data Rule is the lowest level and Application is the highest level. Only scripts at
one level are executed

FDMEE FDMEE can execute calcs:

1. Before the data load Clear

2. After the data load Calculation/Aggregation
3. Before the Check step Calculation/Aggregation
4. After the Check step Clear/Calculation/Aggregation

Calc scripts can be defined Globally

1. calc runs for every integration associated with the target app Location
2. calc runs for a specific location Data Load Rule
3. calc runs for a specific data load rule Category
4. calc runs for specific FDMEE category Leveraging RTSV Calcs

Heading 1
To replace the placeholder text on this page, you can just select it all and then start typing. But
dont do that just yet!

First check out a few tips to help you quickly format your report. You might be amazed at how
easy it is.

Need a heading? On the Home tab, in the Styles gallery, just click the heading style you
want.

Notice other styles in that gallery as well, such as for a quote, a numbered list, or a
bulleted list like this one.

For best results when selecting text to copy or edit, dont include space to the left or right
of the characters in your selection.

HEADING 2
You might like the photo on the cover page as much as we do, but if its not ideal for your report,
its easy to replace it with your own.
