the past 18 months to ensure that South
Africa retains its investment grade rating,
the irrational and unexplained decision by
President Zuma to restructure cabinet has
precipitated this crisis.
Given that, in exercising his prerogative
to appoint the countrys Cabinet, the State
President must place the national interest
first, the Chamber believes that the ANC
and the people of South Africa should hold
President Zuma to account.

Water celebrated
as a human right
W
ater is life and recognising this through the
theme: Human rights for Water & Sanita-
on the Department of Water & Sanitaon, from the Fetakgomo Greater Tubatse Municipality and
Dwarsrivier Mine and Lepelle Northern Water and other
stakeholders held a special Water Week celebraon.
The event took place at the Ga Malekana Sports
Ground in the Ngwaabe area on 30 March 2017. Water
Week is celebrated annually and Dwarsrivier Mine has
been involved with these celebraons in conjuncon with
government for a few years now.
Before the funcon at Ga Malekana Sports Ground, the
dignitaries visited a few projects, including one of Dwars-
rivier Mine in Kalkfontein. This project saw the mine
invest in boreholes for the community and connue with
the legal process to assist in formalising the area so that
town planning and proper reculaon can be added.
During the funcon at the sports ground policians,
Makgoshi from the local tradional authories, employees
of the Department of Water & Sanitaon, representa-

ves from Lepelle Northern Water Board, representaves
from the Sekhukhune District Municipality, representaves
community members aended.
Water projects within the Sekhukhune District are done
in conjuncon with the relevant authories such as the
Department of Water and Sanitaon, Lepelle Norhtern
Water and the District Municipality. The good news on this
front is the fact that the bulk pipeline linking De Hoop Dam
with Jane Furse is on track and the bulk pipeline linking
villages from Mangabane in Steelpoort to Pelangwe in the
Olifantsriver will soon commence.
These projects and the commitment from both the De-
partment of Water and Sanitaon and the Lepelle Northern
Water Board were highlighted during the event.
Mr Remember Mmbengwa from Dwarsrivier Mine em-
phasised the mines commitment towards partnering with
government to enhance development and service delivery
within the area. He added that this partnership is stretch-
ing wider than the Department of Water & Sanitaon to
include other spheres of government as well.
During the event donaons of water wheelbarrows were
made to assist those who are sll struggling to fetch water
considerable distances from their homes.
Local school groups gave tradional dance and praise
poetry performances touching on the theme of water and
access to water as a human right.

A R5000 reward is being offered for information that will lead to the arrest of a man who
was caught on camera while breaking into a house.
On the evening of 2 April 2017 the breaking happened in Calvin Street in Burgersfort.
The suspect destroyed the alarm system in the house, but did not realise that a second-
ary system was in activation within the house. A photograph was taken of the man in the
home. Anyone with information can contact National Guarding Services control room

15 years
for rape
Five years after a crime had been comitted, a
man from Ngwaabe between Steel Bridge and
Jane Furse has been sentenced to 15 years in
prison for rape.
According to Sekhukhune Police, Kgagara Kgot-
so Moshoga, who was 19 years old on 11 August
2012, forcefully dragged a 15 year-old female
learner from Ngwaabe Compehensive School into
a secluded place and raped her. Under guidance
of her mother she reported the incident and the
suspect at that stage, had been arrested the next
day. He was eventually released on bail, but
there was no escaping the law on 27 March this
year. The Sekhukhune Regional court fount the
24 year old man guilty as charged and the five
years of the 15 year sentence was suspended for
five years.

Premier: Talk2me
The Limpopo Provincial Government has
established the Premiers Hotline on the 7th
March 2017. Premier Chupu Stanley Math-
abatha established the hotline to ensure
easier access to his Office and government
departments. It aims amongst others to
promote a caring government to the citizens,
a government that is responsive, interactive
and effective in dealing with complaints.
Since the inception of the Hotline, the
Limpopo Provincial Government received
7329 calls, with 1798 incidents reported and
1717 of these reports have been resolved.
About 81 cases are still outstanding and
majority of them are referred to National
Departments.
The complaints are in areas of electricity,
housing, water, sanitation, service providers
payments, maladministration, corruption, em-
ployment, Identity documents, tender fraud,
social grants and road maintenance.
In terms of the total incidents reports from
April 2011 to February 2017, the majority of
these cases, namely 825, are for Provincial
Departments with Capricorn District having
the highest number of incidents reports
amongst the five districts. A total of 131
incidents reports have been allocated to
National Departments. The following are the
summary of the total number of incidents
reports per district municipality:-Capricorn
District (274), Greater Sekhukhune District
Municipality (141), Mopani District (163),
Vhembe District (148) and Waterberg District

(116).
The Premiers Hotline has enabled the
government officials to work faster, harder
and smarter to respond to the needs of the
people. The hotline assist government to
strengthen a good working relationship with
the members of the public and to ensure
clean governance and root out corruption.
Through the hotline government has
improved services, accelerated service de-
livery to the people, root out corruption in the
government departments and municipality
and also ensure that tender fraud in various
government departments is reported. Pre-
mier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha has made
a commitment that the Hotline Report should
serve in an Executive Council Meeting on a
monthly basis so that EXCO can intervene
on issues that need immediate intervention.
The Premier would like to thank all
members of the public who take the time to
call the hotline for enquiries and reporting
incidents and emphasised that government
will continue working together with members
of the public to improve this service as it is
clearly a valuable tool in keeping govern-
ment in touch with the people they serve.

day, 06h00-22h00 and the operators speak
six languages spoken in the province:-Eng-
lish, Afrikaans, Sepedi, Xitsonga, Tshivenda

Career expo unpacks the
passion of Grade 12 learners

Career Expo to stage a very successful career
exhibi on to help matric learners from 15
dierent schools to unpacking their passion and get the
career guidance they need to create a successful future
for themselves. They were joined by Sekhukhune TVET
College and other stakeholders
The Career Expo took place on Saturday, 1 April 2017
at Ngwaabe Comprehensive Secondary School, despite
it being school holidays; grade 12 learners a ended
the event in large numbers. The 15 schools which
par cipated in the event are from the Ngwaabe and
Jane Furse areas.
Kukanang Career Expo is unique compared to
other career exhibi ons because they not only supply
pamphlets containing informa on on dierent careers
and the requirements for further studies in these fields.
They bring along professionals and students from a

wide range of occupa ons to give learners the opportu-
nity to get one-on-one me with working professionals.
The programme included a short formal session with
introduc ons, messages from stakeholders and a key-
note address. Kukanang chairperson Mr Hlabishi Kobo
encouraged the students and professionals to strive to
plough back to their communi es, Let us therefore
endeavour to use our qualifica ons for the be erment
of our society He also urged the learners to ask lots of
ques ons regarding their careers and also study hard.
Mr Remember Mmbengwa from Dwarsrivier Mine
encouraged learners to make use of the opportuni es
brought to them through events like these; to find
their passion and to think about how they want to be
remembered having made their mark in life. He added
that hard work is always necessary before success.
The keynote speaker, Advocate Victor Makgoane,
who grew up in the area gave a message of hope. He
said that although his parents struggling financially,
through hard work and seizing the opportuni es given
he changed their lives for the be er. He emphasized
that coming from a disadvantaged family in a rural area
is not a barrier to following your passion and crea ng a
be er future for yourself, your family and country.

tunity to a end break-away sessions with students and
professionals in careers they are interested in.

Register your
child now for 2018
Learners are being registered for admission in public
schools for next year
The Limpopo Department of Education is cur-
rently in the process of registering leaners for
admission in public schools for the next year.
Admission will take place from the 18th April
to 31 May 2017.
We are calling on all parents and guardians
whose children will be going to school for the
first time, or moving to a new school next year to
immediately collect registration forms from the
schools nearest to their home or work address
said Dr Naledzani Rasila from the Department.
These forms must be completed and
returned to the said schools as a matter of
extreme urgency, particularly in the urban
areas because they have a great demand for
admission of learners.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
In order to register your child you must
take the following documents with you: Birth
(do not take a baptismal certificate as proof);
Immunization card; Transfer card, and or Last
report card.
If you are not a South African citizen, you
must also take the following documents: Study
/work permit; Temporary or permanent Resi-
dence Permit from South African Department

of Home Affairs. Evidence that you have applied
for permission to stay in South Africa.
The Department of Education will monitor
the admission process very closely to minimize
the occurrence of unfair discrimination. We call
on all parents to immediately go and register
their children for 2018 admission Dr Naledzani
Rasila added.
AGES FOR ADMISSION: Grade R 4
years and turning 5 in June 2017; Grade 1 5
years and turning 6 in June 2017.
Experience taught us there are some par-
ents who ignore the call to register their children
until the closing date. At the beginning of the
new year they run around to schools seeking for
registration. This is a sad situation which leaves
poor innocent children stranded and stressed
and it is uncalled for Dr Rasila explained.
Let us imagine a child going from one
school to the other while others are learning
just because parents did not do their part. It
becomes a sad moment that in main affect the
moral of the child. The Limpopo Department of
Education calls for all to register their children
on said dates and by 30 June 2017, the schools
will inform parents on the results following their
application.

Veteran champ Tubatse

Leboka does it again
Leboka Noto The Big Hammer struck again by winning the
veteran race at the Mall of the North road race last weekend.
He not only won the veteran race, but finished in overall 4th
position in the 42,2km race. Leboka, is in good shape and won
the veteran race the week before at the SAMSA road race in
Orkney.
The rest of the Modikwa Marathon Club runners performed
well too. The runners who participated were: Peter Molapo,
Charles Mohlahlana, Obed Magabe, Leboko Noto, Kenny Vila-
kazi, Kobona Morethe, Karel Morethe, Marumo Moloto, James
Mohlala, Adolph Boshego, Jerry Moela, Themba Mahumane and
Shon Boshego.
The runners are looking forward to the upcoming Loskop Ul-
tra Marathon. The Club is also wishing Adolph Boshego, Mminah
Chulu, Jeffrey Nkuna and
Capri Maluleke well as
they are heading to the
Two Oceans Ultra-Mara-
thon in Cape Town.
Mminah Chulu did
not run with the rest of
the club at the Mall of the
North Road Race, she par-
ticipated in the Irene Road
Race in Pretoria where
she completed her first
48km race in 06:25:27.

Alexander
On Thursday 30 March 2017 the Tubatse
Masters played a friendly soccer match
against Segorong FC in Praktiseer.
Tubatse Masters won this match 5-1. The
teams goals were scored by Messi Malat-
jie (x2), Rally Mmola, Phillip Kgapane and
Themba Mohubedu.
In another match played on Saturday 2
April, Tubatse Masters hosted Frazer Alex-
anders soccer team for a friendly match in
Praktiseer. Both teams teams were equally
matched and both managed to score two
goals to make final score 2-2. Lekgotla
Motswiane and Judas Motswiane scored for
Tubatse masters.
