This project is designed specifically to encourage students to do primary

research on an area that is unique and of special interest to them. It
should contain as much research information as possible.

along with momentos, interviews, family trees and anything that
enhances the projects presentation or content should be sought and
included.

The project will be marked by the tutors along specific and published
guidelines (see attached marking template)

An Introduction this should be a general introduction to your

extended family and your place/relationship with it.

The main body of the project or content should be organised and

structured clearly. There should be a logical order and it should
be labelled or titled accordingly. A balance between the student
themselves and his or her extended family should be sought.

A Conclusion This is a reflection on what you have written.

Having completed this project, what are your thoughts and
feelings about what youve learned? Were you surprised by
anything you discovered? Are you pleased with the volume and
quality of the information you have presented?

There is NO word limit on this project however we do expect it to be

detailed and filled with interesting and relevant information about you
and your extended family. It should run to many pages. You should pay
heed to the marking scheme when constructing your project.
