This project is designed specifically to encourage students to do primary
research on an area that is unique and of special interest to them. It should contain as much research information as possible.
Support material : photos, documents, report, etc..(scanned if precious),
along with momentos, interviews, family trees and anything that enhances the projects presentation or content should be sought and included.
The project will be marked by the tutors along specific and published guidelines (see attached marking template)
An Introduction this should be a general introduction to your
extended family and your place/relationship with it.
The main body of the project or content should be organised and
structured clearly. There should be a logical order and it should be labelled or titled accordingly. A balance between the student themselves and his or her extended family should be sought.
A Conclusion This is a reflection on what you have written.
Having completed this project, what are your thoughts and feelings about what youve learned? Were you surprised by anything you discovered? Are you pleased with the volume and quality of the information you have presented?
There is NO word limit on this project however we do expect it to be
detailed and filled with interesting and relevant information about you and your extended family. It should run to many pages. You should pay heed to the marking scheme when constructing your project.
