How to update and change the configuration of ec2087

Step1.Software prepare.
See the picture below.
We need to install software below.
CAN Flasher 1.8.8
CANviewer Profibus v1.06 Install
Need to copy the software below.

CAN Flasher 1.8.8 CANviewer Profibus v1.06 Install

IFM ec2071 CANview
After finish install software of CAN Flasher 1.8.8 and CANviewer Profibus v1.06
Install, we need to install the driver of IFM ec2071 CANview.

CANview_cd/ VCP_Driver_CANviewUSB_ifm

Plug the IFM ec2071 CANview into one USB port of computer, there will be a note of
find new hardware and select the driver route: CANview_cd/ VCP_Driver_ CANviewUSB_
Ifm, then computer install the driver automatically. The driver software will install twice, the
second installation is just repeat the first installation.

After install successfully, we can see the hardware information and the port of it in the
computer management. See the picture below.

Step2.Connect the device.

We need connect the IFM ec2071 to IFM ec2087 with two RS232 female cable
which used pin NO. 23 and 7(2 CAN_L,3 CAN_G,7 CAN_H) and add a 120 resistor
between CAN_H and CAN_L. At the same time, we need a power supply for IFM ec2087
ranged 10 to 32 voltage DC. After we check it, turn on the power supply of ec2087 and the
on led lamp on ec2087 will be lighted that means power supply is correct.
Step3. IFM ec2087 Check the firmware vision of
IFM ec2087 and update firmware of ec2087.

After finish the step1 and step2, first we should know the version of ec2087 to decide
update the firmware or not. We need run CANview Profibus Configrator software, then
there will a window as below show.

Select the port that we install the driver of ec2071 (Here is port 5), klick on the OK
button, below windows will appear.

In the picture above, the CAN Device 1 is ec2071 and CAN-Device 2 is ec2087.

First turn off the power supply of ec2087, klick on the Scan CV-Profibus DP button and
turn on the power supply of ec2087 in two seconds. The device of ec2087 will detect the
device connect with it in two seconds and if it detect the device, the below window will
show. If not, check the connect cable of two device whether is correct and repeat the steps
above.

In the picture above, we can see that the vision of hardware is 0104 and the vision of
firmware is 0100 of CAN-Device 2(ec2087). We need to update the vision of firmware of
ec2087 to 0104. Choose the menu Setting/Start Flash-Mode and enter into flash mode.
The four LED lamp on the ec2087 device were lighted is indicated that the device in flash
mode now. Close this window and run the software of FLIP 1.8.8 and we can see the
window below.

Push the key F2 on your keyboard and select the T89C51CC01 controller as device.
Just the same as the picture show below.

Klick on the OK button and then push the key F3 on your keyboard and select
CAN/RM CANview in the sub-meun.

There will be a window appear just like the picture show below. Choose the Port
which is used by ec2071 device (here is COM5) and choose Baud Rate as 38400 and
choose Can Bit Rate as 250k. After finish setting above, push the button Init Comm and let
software connect ec2087 device.

Run Klick on RUN button and start operation.

Close the Flip 1.8.8 software and turn off the power supply of ec2087 device. Run
the software which version is 1.04 of CANview Profibus Configrator to check the version of
firmware of ec2087 device. In the picture below, the version of firmware of ec2087 device
has succeed in updating to 1.04.

According the spreader program, we need to configure receive and transmit address
and channel of ec2087 device. The configuration of CAN must the same as the
configuration of PLC on the crane. After setting the configuration, klick on the button Write
CV-profibus DP , we can write the configuration into ec2087 device.
