ABSTRACT
In 2013, the causes of maternal mortality due to preeclampsia-
eclampsia as much (28.76%), in the Hospital Dr. Adjidarmo incidence of
preeclampsia in 2012 as many as (6.18%), while in 2013 as many as
(6.33%).
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of
Education, Age and Parity Mother Maternity with Genesis Preeclampsia.
The research design used in this study is the method of analytic type of
case control study. The number of population (4326) and samples are all
mothers who recorded and treated in the maternity ward of Hospital Dr.
Adjidarmo period from January to December 2013. This study uses
secondary data by looking at the register book.
The results showed that in the Hospital Dr. Adjidarmo Ragkasbitung
period from January to December in 2013 the frequency of women who
had preeclampsia as many as 274 people (6.33%), almost half (43.9%)
mothers educated <high school, more than half (52.0%) aged mothers
aged <20 /> 35 years, and almost half (35.1%) women with parity
primiparous (1 child). There is a relationship between education (p value =
0.047 0,05) with (OR: 2,507) (95% CI 1063-3981) age (p = 0.048
0,05) with (OR: 2,037) (CI : 95% 1058-3922), and parity (P = 0.001
0,05) with (OR: 3,434) (95% CI 1677-7034) with the incidence of
preeclampsia.
Hence the importance of the role of health professionals to improve
the quality of health services, especially in terms of prenatal care and
counseling to pregnant women as a preventive or early detection of
complications that may occur during pregnancy, childbirth, or postpartum.
Especially in women who are at risk of developing preeclampsia are
mothers who have low education, extreme age (<20 /> 35 years),
primigravida, etc.
