OBJECTIVE
The objective of this course is to expose participants to the rudiment and
practices of structural analysis and design of both reinforced and steel
structures. The course will also includes practical application of the GEO5
design software to structural analysis and design of marine structures
particularly quay walls.

The GEO5 analytical package is designed to solve various geotechnical

problems and design checks including Eurocode7. The powerful and easy-
to-use package consists of individual programs with a consistent graphical
interface. Each program is used to analyze a different geotechnical task but
all modules communicate with each other in order to form the integrated
package.

The software will be used to analyses and design quays walls, including
retaining walls.

At the end of the course, participants will have a practical understanding of:
