Skills and Abilities
Leadership- leadership abilities have been a strong element in my experiences in
working with many teams as a Behavioral Therapist as well as role as PDD
Coordinator supervising team members. Mentoring and teaching are required to be
demonstrated for both positions. I take initiative and am an independent worker.
Planning and Facilitation- as Events Coordinator, initiating, developing and
organizing events is a critical component for this position. As Behavioral Therapist, I
use assessment and then develop, facilitate, and evaluate behavioral plans and
coordinate these plans within an interdisciplinary team environment, drawing on a
strength based approach. I have the ability to prioritize and adjust according to
needs.
Collaborator as a student through group facilitation and as a Behavioral Specialist I
have had the ability to collaborate with many different people, teams and families. I
have high capabilities in complex family and team dynamics. Ive strengthen my
skills in communication, compromise, and team work through work experience and
during my educational pursuits.
Learner working with people allows for self-reflection and provides an opportunity
for me to learn from those people Im working with teaching me on an ongoing
basis. As well, through my experience as a student for the past 2 years, this has
given me the opportunity to evoke passion and energy in my field. As a student I
been able to learn to through feedback from my professors and my peers. Through
my practicum I have been able to apply that learning approach to work placements
perspective.
Communicator being an advocate as a private guardian and through my
responsibilities as Behavioral Consultant, I have been involved with many teams,
parents, professionals that require me to discuss, address, suggest, and facilitate
situations which continue to strengthen my communication skills. I am able to
develop strong relationships and rapport through practicing high level of effective
communication.

Work Experience
2015-present Behavioral Therapist Big Plans for
Little Kids
Provide Behavioral assessment, intervention and implementation for children in
preschool settings with teachers and educational assistants.
Provide teaching, training and support to families to implement strategies.
Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team along with other professionals
(Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Pathologist, Psychologist,
Educational Coordinators).

Kids
Researching accessing funding sources for implementation of Play, Participation,
and Possibilities: An Early Learning and Child Care Curriculum Framework for
Alberta for Big Plans for Little Kids
Community resourcing and knowledge gathering around the pilot sites involved with
