1. General
The DF2000 series High Speed Ovens are made by B/E AEROSPACE ROYAL INVENTUM FACILITY.
The High Speed Oven can be delivered with a left hinged- or a right hinged door. A separate Oven Control
Module (OCM) 2000 controls the oven. Insert and trays are optional equipment.
Above mentioned drawings can be ordered on request at our Customer Support Department.
The High Speed Oven has a powder coated outer case assembly and a plastic injection moulded door
assembly which includes a steam outlet. The outer case has a handle, which when not in use, folds flat to
the outside of the case. The space between the inner and outer case is filled with insulation material. A
silicone rubber seal is installed at the door frame of the High Speed Oven.
Two stainless steel slide strips are installed on the bottom of the outer case.
The electrical main connector is installed at the rear of the outer case and matches the connector that
supplies the electrical power from the galley. The wiring harness, is installed on the mounting plate at the
rear of the High Speed Oven.
A PCB assembly controls the temperature in the oven. The 3-phase safety device attached on the mounting
plate disconnects the main power supply to the oven, when its senses an overheat situation.
This module controls the switching of the motor and the heating elements. This switching, which was done
with relays in older generations of ovens, is done here with power semi-conductors. These semiconductors
will produce some heat themselves when switched on. To cool them down, they are attached to a black
anodized heat sink.
Several electronic filters are applied in the power module, making the system to comply with the latest
requirements for EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference).
Due to the introduction of an additional thermostat assy (Post SB-25-1028/1029) mounted on the Power
PCB, the oven may shut down after running for more than approx. 3-4 cycles continuously at unusual high
galley temperature conditions. After temperatures have decreased within normal limits, the thermostat will
reset and the oven can be used again.
Note: The power board overheat protection will not generate an error that can be logged
The power module is capable of working with the new, as well as the old generation of OCMs manufactured
by Inventum. However, the combination with old generation OCMs (OCM700/800) will always result in the
oven functioning as a standard oven (without the capability of loading customer settings) and may not meet
the above mentioned EMI requirements.

6. Motor Assembly
The Self-resetable fuse cuts-off the power of the motor when the motor is reaching an internal
temperature of 200C. The fuse resets automatically when the motor is cooled off. After a short cooling
period the fuse resets and the motor will operate normally.
B. Fuse of 228C
The second internal fuse is the non-resetable fuse of 228C that protects the motor assembly against an
overheating in case the motor operates on two phases or the motor operates under excessive load. In
this case the motor must be returned to B/E Aerospace for repair.

1. General
This test procedure should be carried out after the High Speed Oven has been removed for service, either
because of a fault or for routine maintenance. Reference should be made to the fault isolation procedures to
identify any fault that is found.
2. Inspection
Remove the rear cover (Refer to pageblock 3000) and visually examine the Oven. Make sure that:
(1) the inner and outer case and the door are free from any mechanical damage (cosmetic damage
is allowed).
(2) all components on the oven are correctly attached (check with torque wrench).
(3) all electrical connections are correct.
(4) there is no evidence of burning or heat damage to the wires or electrical components.
(5) the Door Seal is correctly attached and free from any damage.
3. Test Equipment
Oven test procedure as tested at the Inventum test facility after final assembly. A complete test must be done
after maintenance or repair.
Note: The 3 Phase Safety Device is a sleeping protection device and must be tested after service
work and maintenance.
Purpose of this test is to check if the 3-phase Safety Device will trip.
(1) Use a hot air blower P/N 612493 with the special nozzle and heat the sensor of the 3-phase safety
device until the 3-phase safety device trips.
(2) Reset the 3-phase safety device.
B. Motor Test
Purpose of this test is to determine the rotation direction and the rotation speed of the motor assembly.
(1) Connect the Oven with the Test Bench Cable to a calibrated test bench or equvalent test
equipment
(2) Connect the Interface Cable on the OCM to a Personal Computer.
(3) Switch on the main power.
(4) The OCM should come up with the "switch on" title and shuts off.

1. Introduction
The Illustrated Parts List is a breakdown of the assemblies, subassemblies and detail parts of the unit as
mentioned below.
Locate the part number in the Numerical Index List. The figure and item number listed in the columns to
the right of the part number will show where the part appears. Turn to the IPL Figure and locate the item
number. The corresponding item number in accompanying parts list will give part number, description,
assembly relationship and quantity required for the particular application.
Look through the IPL Figures and find the assembly for which the component is used as a part, or look
through the IPL Figures and identify the part by its appearance. Note the item number shown on the
Figure and check the corresponding item number accompanying parts list to find the part number,
description and quantity required for the application.
3. Designator Index
The purpose of the Designator Index is to allow the use to locate the electrical components in the Detailed
Parts List by cross referencing the circuit designators of the wiring schematics to the appropriate IPL Figure.
The schematics are located in the Schematics and Wiring Diagrams section of this manual. This index may
also be used as a quick reference to an installation figure when reconnecting any wiring harnesses or plugs,
or during troubleshooting and repair.
4. Numerical Index
The purpose of the Numerical Index is to enable the user to locate any part by the part number. The figure(s)
and item number(s) in which the part is used is listed. Parts are listed in Numerical order.
A. Item Number
The Detailed Parts List provides the user with a numerical listing of the parts and information as shown
on the accompanying figure(s). Item numbers on the illustrations accompanying each parts list
correspond to the Fig. Item column of the parts list. The Fig. Item column of the Parts List is used with
the accompanying Figure to show the location of the individual parts in relation to assembly or
subassembly of an equipment. The number in the first column of the Detailed Parts List indicates the IPL

Figure it is used with. Any ITEM number after the first ITEM number that is prefixed with a hyphen (--)
indicates the part is not illustrated on the figure. If present A though Z in front of the ITEM number
means that the number is replaced.
The PART NUMBER and NOMENCLATURE columns of the Parts List are used to identify each part.
Component parts are indented in the NOMENCLATURE column to show the subordinate relationship to
the complete assembly or subassembly. When an equipment designator has been assigned to an
electrical component, the designator will be shown at the end of the NOMENCLATURE column. The
vendor code number is shown in parentheses following the part description and is prefixed with the
capital letter V.
Even though many off-the-shelf parts are available, only certain items have proved to comply with
Inventums high standards. In order to have control of the quality of these items that are important for the
correct operation of the component, the Inventum part number is given, rather than the standard part
number.
Part numbers are prefixed as follows:
C. Effectivity Code
If variations exist between similar assemblies or subassemblies and only one figure is illustrated, the
differences are indicated by an effective code listed in the EFF CODE column using the capital letter A,
B, C, etc. The lettered EFF CODE refers to the first indentured item(s) similarly coded for that particular
figure of the parts list. When the EFF CODE column is left blank, the parts listed are common to all
assemblies.
The UNIT PER ASSY column of the parts list indicates the quantity of each part required for the next
higher assembly. When RF appears in this column, it indicates that the part item is listed for Reference
purposes only, and the quantity will appear on another drawing. When the quantity is shown as NP, the
item is non-procurable, and is used for reference only. All NP items in the electrical IPLs may be found
in the Description and Operation section of this manual. The quantity listed as AR indicates a bulk item
material, quantity is as required.
6. Vendor Codes
The code numbers prefixed by a V found in the NOMENCLATURE column of the Detailed Parts List
represent the assigned Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code Numbers, formerly referred to as
the Federal Supply Code for Manufacturers (FSCM) numbers.

1. General
Scheduled maintenance is defined as that maintenance performed at defined intervals to retain an item in a
serviceable condition by systematic inspection, detection, replacement of worn out items, adjustment,
calibration, cleaning, etc. Each operator has the final responsibility for the content of this scheduled
maintenance program and the frequency of accomplishment. Therefore, operators should consult supplier
manuals for other recommended scheduled maintenance tasks. Operators should also be aware of the
national requirements of the country where the units are registered.
