Week Two Assignments

This document contains the four assignments for week two. The first assignment section

consists of two questions and answers about my mobile device. The second section includes a

flowchart from Project MoTIF. The third section includes a list of design considerations for

creating learning content for mobile devices. The fourth section includes a link to my mobile

app and feedback with using the app.

Mobile Media Instructional Design: Latest Trend

This section consists of two questions and answers about my mobile device.

1. What type of mobile device do you have?

I have an iPhone, a laptop, and a Nook, which does not have an air card.

2. How do you use your mobile device as an instructional tool?

I use my iPhone to watch videos on YouTube, to post and view my Pinterest board, to log

into Blackboard, answer emails and more.

Project MoTIF

For this assignment, I will present a flowchart that I would use for designing mobile

learning using an example by Berking, Birtwhistle, Gallagher, and Haag (2013):

The flowchart that I chose from the presentation is shown below. This one represents the

process that I would follow to transition existing training content to a mobile learning format.

Feedback

I had a little difficulty at first getting acquainted with the software. Once I decided what I

wanted to create for my app, things started flowing more smoothly. I can now navigate and use

the software very easily. My app is very simple, but I think it is a decent first app for me. I look

forward to learning how to use this software for more complex apps in the future.
