SONNET XXIX

At first glance, this sonnet appears to

be rather insulting to the person it is directed
at. The speaker is going on about how his
mistress is unattractive.
The sun is not like her eyes, her lips
are not red, her skin is dark, her hair is wiry,
her cheeks are not rosy, and her breath
smells bad. However, in the couplet he says
that he still loves her and that he believes his
love is rare. This sonnet might not actually be
as insulting as it seems.
The speaker could be trying to say that
love is more than skin deep. He does not need
her to have traditional good looks for him to
love her. He could also be saying that his
woman is not traditionally good looking, but
has beauty that is all her own.
THE TROJAN WAR

The war started because of

the kidnapping of princess Helene, the wife of
the Spartans king, Menelaus, by the
charming prince of Trojan kingdom from
France.
To the Greek, this war has a
very deep meaning and they are always proud
to remember it. The war shown the Greeks
ability to combine both muscle and brain.
Under the brave warrior,
Achilles, Greek who before was torn into many
countries which were fighting and competing
against each other, was united with one
ultimate goal to destroy king prims fortress.
THE NECKLACE

In this story, I learned some valuable

lesson on lying. Its just like saying trouble is
easy to get in but hard to get out. Im going to
use Mrs. and Mr. Loisel as good example.
At the beginning of this story they
were known as middle class people, but
because of their dishonest ways they lost
everything. But I blame Mrs. Loisel for
everything because Mathilde wishes to
deceive the people attending the ball by
making them think she has a higher social
status than is actually the case. The borrowed
necklace helps her to do this.
The whole story revolves around the
fact that the Loisels, for whatever reason, are
reluctant to confess the simple truth. Even if
the necklace had been made of genuine
diamonds, they could have made some
arrangement to pay Madame.

THE LITTLE INCIDENT

The setting of the story is in

china; where social classification was
apparent-I believed during the story was
written.
The beginning of the story
already gives cue of the conflict of the
narrator or the I to the society. The
narrators insensitivity is a symbol of protest,
of him, against the society.
The clash of two contrasting
personalities of the rickshaw man, is a total
opposite of I, is cold hearted, insensitive
and considerate, while the rickshaw man, is a
total opposite of I, is a kind-hearted,
considerate and sensible, respectively.
The Cask of
Amontillado
The story some consider that is a perfect
crime, maybe it is, but I can assure you that is not perfect
revenge. The story begins with Montresor giving us a
preview of what he will do for revenge.
The victim will be Fortunato a very rich and
powerful who was an expert in wine. Montresor seem to
know hes victim very well and not only a knew the
passion of Fortunato with wine, he also knew that in that
time Fortunato was sick. Montresor also knew that
Fortunato had given order that he was going to be out for
a while and he did not want anyone to search for him.
Montresor seems to be a very malicious and brilliant
person, because he used the strong expertise on wine of
Fortunato to transformed it in the town weakness of his
victim.
Montresor and Fortunato met in the middle
of carnival, Fortunato was a little drunk, and Montresor
managed to deceive him by telling him that he has some
wine and that he was going to luchesi so he can be
branded. Fortunato reacted immediately and he agrees
on doing that himself. They both enter in the catacombs
bellow the mansion of Montresor. as they go on because
on the niter the sickness of Fortunato was getting
sickness but Montresor instead of being happy he felt
sick.
