SAF MK Ill is a non-selective water shutoff product that forms an insoluble precipitate upon contact with formation
water. The precipitate seals the formation, preventing fluid movement. Reservoir pressure allows the solid
blocking agent to consolidate and withstand high temperatures [350F (177C)] and high differential pressures.
SAF MK Ill is a permanent blocking system for use in matrix application and sealing small channels.

Features

Stops Water Production

Forms a permanent block and controls unwanted water production.

Low Viscosity
Mixed in fresh water. Has less than 2 cps viscosity tor easy placement.

Acid Resistant
Resistant to acids and solvents.

Temperature Stability
Effective in oil wells with bottomhole temperatures to 350F (177C).

Can achieve deep matrix penetration.
Permanently shuts off water zones so repeat treatments are unnecessary.

Safety Precautions

Proper chemical protection and procedures should be followed as when handling solvents (aromatics). Non-

Maximum temperature 350F (177C). For use in oil wells only.
