PREPARING YOURSELF FOR

THE WORLD OF DREAMS

Everything in life is about positioning yourself

correctly, making sure you are at the right place at the
right time. Throughout our lives we see many times
where things could have gone differently.

If you hadn't been delayed by a couple of seconds

leaving your house, you would have made the light
and have been in an automobile accident instead of
having to stop for the light and watch it happen.
Everything in life, positive and negative depends on
the details of the sequence of events that led up to it.
So how we position ourselves can have a very big
impact on our lives.

You could receive a prophetic word that says, go

here, go there, do this, do that. But if you sit back
and say, Praise God, he's going to do this for me.
God said it, so I will just sit back and let God's will be
done, you have made the prophecy null and void.

If you do not line yourself up to the spoken word

of God, all the things that God told you that could
have happened will never come to pass. If you do not
put corresponding action behind your faith, putting
yourself in the right place at the right time and
aligning yourself with the will of God, nothing will
happen.

If God tells you that you will be the owner of some

big corporation, you can't just sit in your bedroom
and wait for it to happen. God's not going to just
drop it in your lap. He won't send a salesman to your
room to sell you a multi-million corporation for a
dollar. There is no opportunity for that to happen.
You have to present yourself at the door of
opportunity. You have to put corresponding action

behind your faith and position and align yourself

with the prophecy you were given.

In order to enter into the dream state, where you

can open up the heavens so you can see things
prophetically in your dreams, preparation is
everything. If the atmosphere around you is not
comfortable, you will not be able to relax.

Often what you are thinking about before you go

to sleep figures into your dreams. If something is
bothering you, or something has affected you
emotionally, that will play out in your dreams.
Tragedy, rejection, hurt or pain will affect your
dreams. Your mind will be disturbed by these sorts
of things like rocks being thrown into a still pond,
producing ever-expanding and overlapping ripples.
You will not be able to think with clarity, much less
open up the heavens to be able to receive what God
has for you.

When you prepare yourself to enter into a dream

state your sleep environment is very important.

Where and how you sleep affects how you dream. If

your room is very cold, your mind will concentrate
on the fact that you are cold. You will start to shiver
and get goose bumps. And as the temperature drops,
you won't be able to focus on anything but trying to
stay warm. You won't be able to think about the great
dinner you had or your plans for tomorrow. Your
body is telling you that something is not right and
you need to take action.

Pain or discomfort is there to let us know that

something isn't right. The only thing you will be able
to think about is how to get warm. Your mind is
affected by your body, and if your body is in
discomfort, you won't be able to think of anything
else. You will not be able to dream or hope or
anything else. Your only thoughts will be about
survival.

You have to prepare, and strategize. You have to

go step by step, line upon line, precept upon precept
(Isaiah 28:10). You are like a baby learning to walk.

First you crawl, then take baby steps, and finally

walking.

Paul said When I was a child, I talked like a child,

I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I
became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me
(1 Corinthians 13:11, NIV).

You can't instantly reach a state of maturity; you

have to go through the process of growing up.
Everything happens according to a pattern. We could
probably formulate it as a universal Kingdom law that
everything happens in an organized way. You can't
get to step 9 without going through steps 1 through 8.

If you sow in to God your preparation then you

will reap back the realm of dreams. You will see
dreams for yourself and others. And as you grow in
your discipline and preparation, becoming
comfortable in your own mind, having prepared the
soil of your mind to receive the engrafted Word of
Truth, the seed of a dream, God will give it to you.

You have to prepare and align yourself. Set your

atmosphere so that it is rich with preparation and
expectation. You must be calm and tranquil,
available to God.

Your whole life should reflect Isaiah's response

when he saw his vision of God in the temple: Here I
am, send me (Isaiah 6:8). Then God will be able to
write on the tablets of your heart.

When your mind is an open book to God, then he

will come and write in it, like a guest signing the
register at a wedding, to say, I was here. God wants
to write upon the tablets of your consciousness to
prepare you to see and dream what he has been
waiting to give you. God wants you to dream even
more than you want to.

But God won't do it, he can't do it, until you bring

forth an offering of preparation. And once the soil of
your consciousness is prepared, and you are alert and
ready, but in a peaceful, meditative state, calm and
prepared to receive with joy; ready to respond and

not freak out and simply react, then God will pour
dreams into your mind.

Then the portal of your mind will be open for

God to speak to you and through you to the universe,
to the people around you in your job and church.
But this will only happen when you prepare yourself
so that God can give you dreams.

So when you go to bed, you need to prepare

yourself. Realign and position yourself so you are
ready to dream. Prepare yourself to dream dreams of
quality, integrity and excellence. Prepare to see with
clarity.
