States following the Civil War.

1. Students will be able to compare and contrast the outcomes of
Reconstruction in the North and South.

i. Writing Level 3: Students will be able to write short paragraphs comparing and
contrasting the outcomes of Reconstruction in the North and South while
working with a partner, using the provided prompts
ii. Speaking Level 3: Students will be able to complete an oral examination
comparing and contrasting the outcomes of Reconstruction in the North and
South

A. Using the large piece of construction paper draw a comic about Reconstruction in the North OR
South
B. Write three short paragraphs comparing and contrasting the outcomes of Reconstruction in the
North and South using the writing prompt
a. Writing Level 3: Students will be able to write short paragraphs comparing and

a partner, using the provided prompts
C. Display your comics for the class to view
D. Make a short oral presentation about your comic and make a comparing and contrasting
