TML MARINE CREW ASSESMENT PROGRAMME
BACKGROUND :
Within 5 years period TML Marine asset registers total of 66 incidents
with declining trending over the years.
For 2015 TML Marine taking new initiative and another proactive
measure by introducing TML Marine Crew Assessment Programme
To ensure all TML chartered marine asset are operating accordance to local
and international regulatory by improving knowledge and awareness of marine
crews with regards to local and international laws and regulations.
To ensure that all OSV companies and its crew comply with TML procedures:

Support Vessel and other applicable TML guideline
Base on TML Marine assessment data -TML Marine will analyzed and work
together hand in hand with TML boat owner /operator to formulate and
improve the overall TML marine crews performance standard as per TML
expectation.
Deck Officer refers to Master, Chief Officer, 2nd Officer, 3rd Officer, 4th
Officer, Radio Officer, Medical officer.
Engineer Officer refers to Chief Engineer, 2nd Engineer, 3rd Engineer, 4th
Engineer, Electrical engineer (ETO).
Rating refers to Non - officer of the vessel, i.e. Bosun, Oiler, Crane
Operators, Able Body Seaman (AB), Greaser, Ordinary Seaman (OS), Cook
and steward.
Key Personnel refer to Senior officers Master, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer
& Second engineer.
Written examination valid for 2 years. All personnel required to renew/ reseat
their assessment after the expiry period. 3 month grace period is given after
the expiry date for candidates to reseat for the assessment.
Failing candidate need to reseat for the test at earliest possible. Upon failing 2
consecutive assessment TML Marine have a right to reject / remove candidate
from joining the vessel.
Interview/Oral Assessment:
Additionally any NEW Key Personnel have to undergo and pass the
Interview Assessment before joining any TML chartered vessel.
TML have every right to reject the propose candidate and suspend the crew
approval number upon finding propose candidate does not met with TML
Marine Standard and criteria during the Interview.
TML will not be hold responsible for any cost involves for repartition of the said
crew.
