ERIKS Fluor Elastomer 90 Compound 514530 Technical Datasheet

1. Introduction

ERIKS elastomer compound 514530 is a fluorocarbon compound specially designed for use high pressure environments. In addition
to excellent resistance to hydrocarbons and coolants, 514530 also offers resistance to rapid gas decompression (RGD).

ERIKS 514530 has been tested successfully according to the RGD requirements of:

NORSOK M710 Rev. 2, Section 7, Annex B.

Test conditions: 10% carbon dioxide in methane; 100C; 150 bar (15MPa); decompression rate 20 bar/minute; 10 cycles. Three
samples were tested, all passing with a rating of 0000.

NACE TM0297.
Test conditions: 100% carbon dioxide; 150C; 380 bar; decompression rate 70 bar/minute; 1 cycle. Three samples were tested, all
passing with a rating of 1.

TOTAL GS EP PVV 142

Test conditions: 20% carbon dioxide in methane; 75C; 190 bar (19MPa); decompression time of 1 minute; 5 cycles. No damage
or leakage.

Shell Research Ltd. Test Rig

Test conditions: Natural gas; 80C; 138 bar (13.8 MPa); decompression time of 12 minutes; 30 cycles. No leakage.
