Abstract
The paper deals with the modern (spoken) Hebrew morpho-syntactic differentiation between two structures: one structure exhibits
concord between the verb and its complement (an adjective), as in: hi nir'et nemada "she seems nice", while the other looks almost
the same, but shows no concord between the verb and its complement, as in: hi nir'et nemad "she looks nice", as in adverbial
complements in general. In these structures, it seems that Israeli (spoken) Hebrew has found a way to differentiate between 'look'
and 'seem', which in Hebrew take the identical form nir'e.
