HowhaveIdevelopedthiscompetencyduringthiscourseorprofessionalseminar/fieldexperience?

My first field experience mainly consisted of observations, so I was not able to make meaningful links

between subject-specific program and specific knowledge to be taught that much. However, I did take the
opportunity

to introduce a lesson about tattoos and tried to ask meaningful questions to the classroom

regarding tattoos in order to keep the students interested in the activity that was about to be brought out.

In
the future, I would like to exercise this more by linking students' knowledge as well as what they are
learning to everyday life as well as their future in the outside world.

During
this field experience, I admit that I had trouble maintaining the French language outside of English
class doors. In the English classroom, it was more than acceptable to speak in the English language.
However, since it was a French speaking school, I had to remember to respect that important aspect. In

context of an English classroom, I believe that my proficiency in communicating in the English
the
language is thorough because my first language is English and I am quite comfortable when

communicating
in that language. Furthermore, I believe that my grammar abilities are adequate for an
ESL classroom setting. I may need to review some concepts here and there, but overall, my

communication
skills in English are adequate enough to teach and ESL class.
