Group discussion
Specific Roles of ILT?

Notes:
What does the vision statement mean to you? Take two
minutes..talk with a partner.

Krista: I want to be thinking differently this year and everyday I am

trying to be purposeful and impactful. Our vision needs to be
inspiring. I want something that is going to help us move forward.
This vision statement is I already do that.

John: Impactful implies that we are making impact and there is

data that shows we are making impact. If not, something needs to
change. Maybe we are not making at much impact as we would
like to believe we are. Impact academically, socially, etc.

Greg: This is about adult behavior. Impactful and data, are we

making gains that we need.
Morgon: Is there language/structure that you feel reaching higher
or stronger? Question to Krista!
Krista: I dont like the word staff. Its all encompassing. Wondering:
This vision is important. Are we going to come back and read
before every meeting? How is this going to help us?

John: ILT Institute attended a pd on OLT/ILT session led by

leadership team from Edison. They explain what OLT/ILT looked
like at Edison High School. ILT was more focused on instruction
and they worked with teachers. Ours focuses more on systemic/
wide array of things.

Damon: A lot of committees we have the same people on them.

What impact does that have?

We are not voting on the ILT vision statement. People want to

continue to work on the statement.

Lisa: we have to things about the words we use.

For the next two weeks, everyone construct a vision statement

and things of words you would you.

Morgan adds: think about what inspires you?

We will table this until next time.

AF PD Ryan SIP We will provide 20 mins Discussion Professional Development Academic Feedback - WISE
feedback on the Share draft of AF PD plan - Discussion/Feedback
AF PD plan
Morgan: PD chair meeting last Thursday. The district gave us a PD
monitoring plan. The ILT monitors and makes big decisions about
PD as we cycle through the work.

Ryan: Currently Lisa, Ahmed, Morgan, and I are currently

conducting learning walks on guided math/ literacy and will help to
create a readers leader. Oct. 26, we will validate what we are
seeing and the good work that you are doing. Folks will reflect on
what they are doing.

Ahmed and I will lead the PD on academic feedback that is

culturally responsive. We are using John Hatties work on
feedback and Whistling Vivaldi by Claude Steele.

This ILT team will be helping to conduct learning walks.

Using culturally responsive feedback on CBMs.

Morgan: What are you learning targets/objectives for the upcoming

professional development?

Possible Learning target:

I can being the four level of feedback that we provide students.

Stephanie:
Are EAs expected to also give this type of feedback?

Data Lead Greg ILT Greg will share 5 mins Discussion Greg will share the role of the data lead and how it connects with
the role of Data the focus on the impact that our PD has on adult actions. Should
Lead this role be a non-classroom teacher?

Greg:
Ryan: Should this role not be held by a classroom teacher?

Practice profiles:

These are the strategies we are using and are you using them.
Examples of expected use, developmental use, and non-examples
included in the profiles.

Practice profiles for guided math, etc.

Collected data on our SIP. Data lead works with teams on

collecting and monitor data from all the grade levels on where you
are on the strategies.

John, Morgan, Lisa, and Sarah, if they would be willing to take on

this work on collecting data.

Lisa will be the new data lead.

Letter to families: Eric Moore

When the kids take the test, a red light is coming up or the test is
telling us that the kids took the test too fast. We did not know the
kids have to retake the test. And students can take up to 30 more
questions the second time. They should not retake the test right
away.

More red flags came with Kindergarten. It was challenging. It was

invalid. Kids didnt know how to use the number pad. No tutorial.
By 4/5 grades, the red flags were minimal.

It is a lot easier to implement as an adult. In that sense, it is easy.

Krista:
For conferences, what information do we have to provide parents?

Ann:
Letter from Eric and a test report will be provided to teachers to
give to parents. It is parent friendly.

Krista:
Can we get a quick lesson on how to use the test results?
