THE PERCEPTION OF NON IUD ACCEPTORS ABOUT IUD CONTRACEPTION

Background: Contraceptives that are less sought after by non IUD KB acceptores is IUD.
Acceptors states IUD as contraception the wearer cause pain and embarrassment when
mounting the IUD contraception.

Objective: Knowing the perception of non IUD KB acceptores about IUD KB in Sidorejo
Lor health centre, Salatiga.

Method: This research is using descriptive qualitative with the approach of non IUD
acceptores about IUD conctraceptives fenomeologi. The unit of analysis used was saturated
sampling, with in depth interviews techniques and observations.

Result: The result shows that the perception of non IUD KB acceptores about the meaning of
IUD contraception is an appliance that is used in womb. The advantage of IUD usage is to
prevent a pregnancy. They dont know the disadvantage of IUD. Participant reason of not
choosing IUD is because of they were afraid and embarrassed.

Suggestion: The result can be used by the next researcher with another method or another
kind of contraception techniques.
