know with two different meanings.
Modeling of the Concept
The teacher will introduce multiple meaning words by
sharing the video link provided.
The teacher will introduce the book by saying, Today we
are going to read the book The King Who Rained, do you
think this means the same as the rain outside?
The teacher will encourage the students to put their
thumbs up when they here a word that they may think
have a multiple meaning.
After the story, the teacher will reread a few sentences
from the book.
The teacher will encourage students to raise their hands
and identify the multiple meaning word in the two
sentences that the teacher had read.
The teacher will write these words on the board
The teacher will ask the students to choose one of the
multiple meaning words
The teacher will pass out a worksheet for the students.
