Reflection from prior lesson: In the lesson before, the students learned the basic rules of ultimate football and
worked on throwing and catching the football.

Materials Needed: The primary facility for ultimate football will be in a gymnasium. The boundaries will be set by
cones and lines on the gym floor. We will need footballs and cones for this unit.

Contextual Factors/ Learner Characteristics: Students have different learning styles, therefore not every student can
be taught in the same way. I will get to know my students to learn their characteristics and find out what motivates
them and how to manage them in the classroom.

The Lesson
1. Introduction (10 min)
Getting attention
Students will have five minutes to get dressed and stand in a designated area in the gym, while waiting for
instructions.

Relating to past experience and/or knowledge


The last class period we had we learned the basic rules of ultimate football, as well as watched a video on how
to play it.

I will explain why todays activities will be important to help them understand the concepts of lifetime fitness
and how these concepts can assist individuals of all ages in their daily activities

The objectives for this class period are to learn the basics of Ultimate Football, including the rules and basic
fundamentals of throwing and catching.

2. Content Delivery (30 min)


Split up into groups and play Football 21.
Split up into four teams.
Play two different games of Ultimate Football.

4. Closure (3 min)
Quiz the students on what they learned to today
Dismiss the students and let them get changed
