Reflection:

My lesson integrated music within the classs water investigation. I taught the students that there are many things that you can
do with water, making music being one of them. The students seemed to really enjoy the lesson overall. In the beginning they were
all quite focused on the food dye changing the waters color. I am glad I ended up letting the children be a part of the set up process
for making a water xylophone. This allowed them to notice that every glass had a different amount of water in it. The children did
well with taking turns with one another and making predictions. I did a great job demonstrating the activity and then letting the
children explore possibilities that the xylophone had to offer. If I were going to teach it again I would have asked the children better
thought provoking questions and allowed for more exploration time. I learned that the more you prepare to teach a lesson, the
smoother it will go.
