Accomplishments:

Instructional Leadership
Organized and collaborated with a team of teachers as well as AISD District
Technology Design Coaches to train campus staff in BreakoutEdu, Seesaw, Adobe
Spark, Google Expeditions, Quizziz, Thinglink and Brainpop.
Facilitated the institution of an edible school garden program resulting in
schoolwide interdisciplinary curriculum opportunities.
Provided yearly campus Gifted and Talented update training, including initiating
and implementing a coordinated effort among elementary schools in our vertical
team to bring in a nationally recognized educator, Dr. Bertie Kingore, to deliver
training in differentiation.
Designed and delivered various staff trainings tailored to our campus needs based
on feedback from staff and administration in differentiation, Google classroom and
independent study.
Organized and collaborated with a GT professional learning community to focus on
vertically implementing best practices in differentiation, facilitated the teams
attendance of the TAGT conference, and collaborated to create an online student
work showcase for our campus.
Served the district as part of the GT curriculum writers cadre for two years.
Selected to be a trainer and curriculum writer for grades K and 2 in mathematics
for AISD and served as a part time math curriculum coach.
Worked as a vertical team leader for math instruction on two campuses, focusing
on numerical fluency and the implementation of math journals and common
assessments.
Led a year-long support group and training designed to retain special education
teachers in their third through fifth years of teaching with other National Board
Certified teachers.

School and Community Leadership


Coordinated with administrators, parents, committee chairs and staff to ensure
funds were prioritized based on a consensus of campus needs and dispersed in an
equitable manner.
Facilitated the hiring of a specialist to vertically and horizontally align our math
instruction.
Worked with PTA to increase the budget allocation for staff development which
resulted in 50% of our professional staff participating in over 275 hours of
additional training, including vertical teams attending TAGT, and TCEA.
Participated in the design, development and implementation of our math vertical
alignment plan resulting in an increase in our benchmark scores compared to
previous years.
Planned and facilitated parent information nights based on parent surveys for our
gifted and talented program, resulting in overall increased satisfaction with our
programming the following year.
Collaborated with the counselor to initiate a school wide March for Peace as part
of the No Place for Hate initiative and created a campus curriculum guide for
grades PK-5 to support the event.
Served for five years as GT Advocate, ensuring compliance with district policies
and state law as well as increased the number of students being tested from
diverse backgrounds.
Served as team leader on each grade level, including managing activity fund
accounts.
