The Role
The role is within the Imaging division working on ST Microelectronics industry leading
State-of-the-Art Time of Flight (ToF) ranging solutions employing SPAD (Single Photon
Avalanche Diode) technology. This fast changing environment is well suited to designers
with a drive to innovate and to push the boundaries in new technologies. Working within
the Edinburgh Analogue Design Team brings challenges in specification definition, design,
modelling and implementation of analogue blocks. Due to the wide range of disciplines
required to produce ToF products, the role may involve interfacing with optical and
mechanical design teams in addition to silicon design and architecture.
They will be responsible for the schematic capture, layout / layout supervision, extraction
and simulation of analogue IP and subsequently for its integration into the top level of the
design.
The candidate must be team focussed and highly motivated. Collaboration with colleagues
locally and in the wider community across the Imaging Division is a key factor for
success. Strong communication skills are mandatory.
