REASONS WHY ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY JOHN KIMBROUGH

SHOULD RESIGN.

He wrongfully convicted Daniel Paul Meehan by

1. He conspired with Detective Mark Ellis to fabricate false testimony for Gary Harris to
commit perjury in the trial of Meehan
2. He rewarded Jailhouse Snitch, Gary Wayne Harris for his perjured testimony by
changing a felony and facing life to a misdemeanor.
3. He withheld evidence and prompted the court to withhold evidence in Meehan’s trial.
4. He obstructed Meehan’s access to evidence, and failed to timely disclose to the defense
all evidence that tends to mitigate the offense.
5. Although the jealous husband of the victim had ample motives to kill his wife, including
a charge of domestic violence from his wife, a forged Will, a $100,000 life insurance
policy, alimony payments and an ongoing divorce hearing in progress with a temporary
injunction and restraining Order, John Kimbrough took all steps to withhold all of this
from the jury.
6. At the first words in the trial Kimbrough immediately asked “that the defense counsel be
prohibited from any mention of any misconduct by Mark Pieruccini or any report of
misconduct by Mark Pieruccini…” since this would have shone the light on Pieruccini as
a suspect..
7. Kimbrough told Harris that part of his deal was to go and work with Sheriff Jefferson and
Lynn Arcenaeaux to plant drugs on people so Kimbrough could arrest and convict.
8. All the time Harris was lying at trial, Kimbrough’s statement to the jury was: “No
question he's a thief (Gary Harris). You heard that. But there was nothing in those
convictions that he was a liar, and he's not a killer like the defendant is.” And he
continues: “And I would advise you not to take a check from Gary Harris. But I'm telling
you, you evaluate his testimony and everything, as it fits to the other evidence; and it's
true. He's telling you the truth in this case.”
9. He had tampered with the Grand Jury Indictment and charge, and dismissed and then
changed and reduced the serious charge on Harris facing life imprisonment, to reward
him for his perjured testimony.
10. He led the jury to believe that there were no favors granted to Harris for his perjured
testimony
11. Knowingly allowed his assistant, Gary Bonneax, to lead the jury to believe the lie that
the victim left her husband in PA to come live with Danny Meehan in Orange, when the
husband actually had kidnapped the children from Orange and took them to
Pennsylvania.
12. He may have prevented the jury from seeing the “Charge of the Court” that was filed that
the judge gave them a choice of from 5 to 99 years sentence, since one juror signed a
sworn statement that if there was a choice lesser than 99 years he would have given it as a
sentence.
