STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Our classroom will be a positive, considerate learning environment that fosters academic excellence and
respect for others. All students will strive to do their best, both academically and behaviorally, to promote
the success of everyone in the classroom.

CLASSROOM RULES

Rule 1: Ask permission before using others materials.

Rule 2: Listen quietly while others are talking.

Rule 3: Keep your hands and feet to yourself.

Rule 4: Raise your hand if you have a question, need help, or have a comment.

CLASSROOM PROCEDURES

Procedure 1: Entering the Classroom

Walk into the room quietly.

Hang up jackets and/or backpacks.

Get all necessary materials and sit at your desk.

Read, write, or draw at your desk until teacher gives instructions.

Procedure 2: Walking in the Hallway

Line up at the door in a straight line.

Walk quietly.

Keep hands and feet to yourself.

Stop at checkpoints.

Procedure 3: Using the Restroom

Use restroom during work time or individual time.

In case of emergency: hold up two fingers to signal a restroom request

If permission is given take the hall pass with you.

Quickly and quietly use the restroom.

Return to class immediately after.

Procedure 4: Using the Pencil Sharpener

Use pencil sharpener during work time or individual time.
