PART A: In this assignment, we just covered quadratic functions, but students can choose another function (linear, exponential,
cubic, rational, logarithmic, etc.) to create a video presentation. The presentation they will have to summit, must have definitions
for the function, a picture representing the shape of the function, ways to solve the functions and some examples. They will have
to present their material in class and will go over some of the examples written in their presentation. To finalize this assignment,
we will get back together as a whole and go over the different characteristics of all the functions presented, as well as similar
characteristics.

Content Area/Grade/Standards/Topics Addressed:

MGSE9-12.F.IF.4 Using tables, graphs, and verbal descriptions, interpret the key characteristics of a
function which models the relationship between two quantities.
MGSE9-12.F.IF.7 Graph functions expressed algebraically and show key features of the graph both by
hand and by using technology.
MGSE9-12.F.IF.9 Compare properties of two functions each represented in a different way
(algebraically, graphically, numerically in tables, or by verbal descriptions).

Brief Description of Learning Experience:

The video I have created is a sample video for students to base their ideas on. The task will be for the students to create a
video presentation that is based on comparing the linear function to whatever another function they have been assigned. The key
of this task is for students to understand and teach the distinct functions that need to be taught for that year. I plan to use this
project toward the end of the year where they have basic knowledge of the functions that they need to know. They will include
basic information of the graph they have been assigned followed by a brief presentation on the key similarities and differences
between that graph and the linear graph. They will need to include different visual representations within the video like graphs,
and tables.
The video should be between one and three minutes long. Students will be assigned into groups of four and will all work
together to present a credible presentation. I expect this assignment to last between a week and week and a half because they will
need to make a video and set up a ten-minute presentation discussing more in depth about the similar and different characteristics
of the functions. The audience for this presentation will be their peers and teacher. The teacher will grade this assignment based
on the presentation and video.

Student Engagement/Higher-Order Thinking: What LoTi level would this lesson be and Why? I believe this lesson is a
Loti 4 because the students will construct a presentation and present it to the class as educators.

Importance of technology: Multimedia tools are very important for students to self-assess the strengthens and weaknesses of
the material that is being covered. This is because, students will create and base what they are creating on their knowledge. And
if they dont know the material they will research the material which give them more knowledge in the material. Besides media
tools being great for projects, they are also easy to use. For example, Windows Movie Maker is an entertaining video creator that
students can make presentations to present in class. This tool is easy to use because it is really self-explanatory.

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: One major issue we encounter in educational fields is student and internet
privacy. We must be careful when we ask students to post things online. We must be sure that the websites we use are
safe and hard for unwanted people to watch. This is why we need to make sure that students, parents and teachers know
the policies of internet safety.
