Public Domain vs. Copyright
1. Define public domain: The public domain consists of all works that are
not protected by copyright and therefore can be used without permission
without having to pay the original author. This means that works in the public
domain can be copied, distributed, adapted, interpreted and displayed in public
for free, as if they belonged to everyone.
2. Define copyright: This term has to do with fundamental acts which, as far
as literary and artistic creations are concerned, can only be carried out by the
author or with his authorization.
