ThisscreenalsoappearsautomaticallywhenyoucreateanewreservationiftheRESERVATION>RESERVATION
FLOWapplicationsettingissettoRateQueryandwhentheNewbuttonisselectedfromtheRoomPlan.Whenthe
RESERVATION>PROFILESEARCHPRIORTONEWRESERVATIONapplicationparameterissettoY,aprofilewill
needtobeselectedbeforeaccessingtheratequery.
Thisoptionletsyouseeataglancewhichratesareavailableforeachroomtypeonanygivenarrivaldate,departuredate
andnumberofpersons.Theratequeryislikeaminireservation.Youenterthearrivaldate,numberofnights,departure
date,numberofadults(perroom)andnumberofrooms.ThedefaultsareArrivaldateoftoday(exceptifthe
RESERVATIONS>DEFAULTBLANKARRIVALDATEapplicationparameterissettoN),oneNight,oneAdultandone
No.ofRooms.Youcanalsooptionallyenteraratecode,ablockcode,asourcename,companyandagent.

TheRateQueryscreenallowsyoutolocatealistingofratesthatmatchsearchcriteriayouspecify.Thematchingrates
androomtypesavailablearelistedontheRateQueryDetailsscreen.Selectasmanyfiltersasdesiredfordisplayingthe
rateinformationfoundbythequery.SelecttheOKbuttonorpresstheEnterkeyonthekeyboard.OPERAthendisplaysa
gridofroomtypesandratecodesmatchingthesearchcriteria.
TheRateQueryscreencanbeopenedwithAdvancedoptionsautomaticallydisplayed,orwithonlybasicsearchoptions
displayed.WhichwaythescreenappearsisdeterminedbytheAdvancedbuttonconfigurationfortheRateQueryScreen
(Configuration>Setup>ScreenDesign>MenuandScreenDesignseeMenuandScreenDesignfordetails.)If
theAdvancedbuttonisconfiguredtobehidden,allratesearchoptions,includingtheadvancedsearchoptions,are
displayedwhenthescreenopens.IftheAdvancedbuttonisnotconfiguredashidden,thebasicsearchoptionsdisplay
uponopeningtheRateQueryscreenyoumaythenselecttheAdvancedbuttontodisplaytheadvancedsearchoptions.

calendartoolandselectthedatefromthecalendar.
Nights.Thenumberofnightstheguestwillstay.Thedefaultis1.
Departure.Thedatewhentheguestplanstoleave(thedateofthelastdaythere).Thedefaultisthenextday.To
changethedeparturedate,manuallyenterthedateorclickonthecalendartoolandselectthedatefromthecalendar.

Note:ByselectingarangeofdatesusingeithertheArrivalorDeparturecalendartool,youmaychangethestay
