The Contractor shall when pricing the rates of

Wooden works shall include the following:
The contractor shall consider that all materials,
woods, accessories, paint and the final work
as whole to withstand the hard weather and
humidity and counteract corrosion as much as
possible.
In case that any specification stated below is
not compatible with the above requirements
the contractor will be fully responsible for the
work.
1. Submittal of shop drawings prior to
fabricating the units.
2. The fabrication and installation of full scale
model for part of wooden works for inspection
and approval of the Engineer before
commencement of work knowing that the
sample is not part of the works and will not be
paid for.
3. Veneers to be 6mm PLY wood
4. All external natural wood ( as per drawings
and site engineer instructions) should be
colored with water base color SIRCA made to
be chosen by client, 2 coats of sealer with
sanding between each layer, then one coat of
laquare paint SIRCA made.
5. All internal wood should be colored with
alcohol based color , to be chosen by client (
the contractor should supply painting samples
) 3 coats of sillar base paint, and 2 coats of
varnish ( Sirka type ) semi gloss, as per
manufacturer's instructions.
5. All solid wood to be made of red OAK wood
to be excellent quality American hard wood.
6. Solid wood is to be dry wood with humidity

ratio not more than 9%. Humidity ratio in
different samples chosen by the engineer to be
tested by a renowned testing institute on the
contractor expense.
7. The contractor shall use screws ( Nail not
accepted) in fixing mongery. The used glue
should be Super sticky 99.
