Aeolian Landform
Erosional Landform
Erosional landforms are formed from the breaking of rocks. There are many different kinds
of agents like gravity, ice, water, wind that may be linked also to weathering. Through
erosion new landscapes are formed although there are differences in sizes and shapes.
Examples of this landform are:

Plain
A plain is a flat area usually at the bottom of valleys or in uplands. It may be surrounded
on two sides or completely either by mountains, hills or
cliffs.
Locations of Great plains are from places to name some: North and South Dakota,
Nebraska, Kansas and etc.

Plateau
A plateau extensive area of flat upland, it is a landform that
rises sharply above the surrounding area. It is created
during the slow movements of large parts of stable areas, it
can be also formed by a volcanic eruptions. Plateaus take up a
third of the Earths land and are one of the major landforms such
as mountains and plains.
A volcanic plateau is formed through small volcanic eruption that build through time. This
volcanic plateau has active volcanoes like Mount Tongariro, Mount Ngauruhoe, and Mount
Ruapehu.
Valleys when a river cuts through the middle of the plateau, one example is the Columbia
Plateau that is cut through by the Columbia River.
And last, the Tibetan Plateau which is considered the largest and is located in central Asia. Its
size round up to 1.5 square miles or four times the size of US. Large indeed!

When glacier or ice caps interact with glaciofluvial, it forms new landforms from the
washing away of soil by running water.
Examples of Delta are Nile Delta, Mississippi Delta, Amazon Delta, Huang He, Tiber
Delta and Ithmus which means in latin almost an island.
A Peninsula is formed also by movements in the lithosphere, the elevation of water and
erosion.
