Using a loofah on a regular basis prior
to a shower or bath offers multiple
health benefits for the skin.
Although we call them a loofah sponge,
these long, fibrous bath accessories
come from a vegetable source and not
a sea creature. The luffa plant is a
relative of the cucumber and produces
large gourds that leave a durable
strong network of fibres after drying,
leaving a mildly abrasive scrubber
which exfoliates your skin and
enhances surface circulation.
Let's take a look at some of the health
benefits of daily body scrubbing using a
loofah..
EXFOLIATION
The outermost layer of your skin, the
epidermis, naturally sheds dead skin
cells. Normal friction removes some of
these shed cells, but others remain in
place, dulling your complexion and
blocking the skins ability to breathe.
Exfoliation helps this natural process
along, using gentle friction to brush
excess skin cells from the surface of
your skin. Removing dead skin cells is
especially good to do while visiting or
living in Bali because of all the dust and
pollution on the roads. It not only

improves the look of your skin, it also
sweeps away places where bacteria
and grime could collect.
CIRCULATION
Any friction on your skin increases
localised blood flow. Capillaries, the
tiny blood vessels closest to your skin,

heat them up. It creates friction and
stimulates blood flow. A loofah has a
similar effect, stimulating increased
circulation to areas that you scrub with
it. Unlike harshly abrasive scrubbers

How To Use A Loofah
Soak the loofah in running water in
order to make it slighty spongy
Pour some droplets of natural body-
wash from a dispenser or rub a soap
bar over the surface of the loofah.
Start brushing the loofah scrub from
the area just beneath your neck
working up a good lather.
Scrub it lightly all over your body in a
round pattern and the same under
your arm pits as well as the ankles,
soles of feet, and the heels.
Scrubbing the loofah using circular
patterns helps in the removal of dead
and damaged skin cells thoroughly.
After youre done scrubbing the entire
skin surface, stand under the shower to
wash away the lather completely and
makes you feel refreshed.

Replace your loofah on a regular

Government still working on determining location for new Bali airport in islands north

It feels like its been years since weve gotten any updates
about the governments plans to build the new airport in North
Bali that the islands governor has been so outspokenly gung
ho about.

Despite previous reports that the government had pinpointed a

location that would require reclamation in Balis Buleleng
Regency, the Ministry of Transportation is now saying that its
currently working on setting the new airports location based on
feasibility studies submitted by consultants for two separate
locations.

Airports Director of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation,
Yudhi Sari Sitompul, says that Balis second airport will still
more than likely be done in Buleleng, its just a matter of where
in the regency.
After the government completes its study, God willing, we will
set the location this year, Sitompul said in Nusa Dua on
Thursday, as quoted by Liputan 6.
A team from the directorate general will soon be visiting the two
locations for a closer look next week, says Sitompul.
The airports director says he can not yet confirm at this time
whether or not a reclamation would be part of the development
plan for the new airport.

Was it heaven? Or was it one final act of heroic love from his devoted wife,
seeing to it that he left this world a happy man? Mustering one great final
effort, he threw himself toward the table, landing on his knees in a rumpled
posture. His parched lips parted as he began to imagine the taste of the
wondrous cookies already in his mouth. The thought actually invigorated
him, seemingly bringing him back to life. His old and aged hand slowly made
its way to a cookie at the edge of thetable, when it was suddenly smacked
with a spatula by his wife. "Stay out of those," she snapped. "They're for the
funeral."

A teacher was working with a group of underprivileged children, trying

to broaden their horizons through sensory exploration. With their eyes
closed, they would feel objects from pumice stones to pine cones and
smell aromatic herbs and exotic fruits. Then one day, the teacher
brought in a great variety of lifesavers, more flavors than you could
ever imagine. "Children, I'd like you to close your eyes and taste
these," announced the teacher. Without difficulty, they managed to
identify the taste of cherries, lemons and mint, but when the teacher
had them put honey flavored lifesavers in their mouths, every one of
the children was stumped. "I'll give you a hint," said the teacher. "It's
some- thing your Daddy and Mommy probably call each other all the time."
Instantly, one of the children spat the lifesaver out of his mouth and shouted, "Spit 'em out, you guys, they're arseholes!"

Brenda and Steve took their six-year-old son to the doctor. With some hesitation, they explained that
although their little angel appeared to be in good health, they were concerned about his rather small
p*nis. After examining the child, the doctor confi- dently declared, "Just feed him pancakes. That
should solve the problem." The next morning when the boy arrived for breakfast, there was a large
stack of warm pan- cakes in the middle of the table. "Gee, Mom," he exclaimed."For me?" "Just take
two," Brenda replied. "The rest are for your father."

One Sunday morning, a little girl and her mother go to church. Halfway through, the little girl tells her mother she's going to be sick.
Her mother tells her to go in the bushes behind the church. The girl leaves and comes back after about five minutes. Her mother asks
her if she threw up. ''Yes," the girl says. "But I didn't have to go all the way 'round the back. There was a box near the front door that
said 'For the Sick.'''

Mom and Dad were trying to console Susie,

whose dog, Skipper, had recently died. "You
know," Mom said, "it's not so bad. Skipper's
probably up in Heaven right now, having a grand
old time with God." Susie stopped crying and
asked, "What would God want with a dead dog?"
