TEN BEST PRACTICES IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
1. GROUP ACTIVITY- Grouping students to easily arrive at concepts. As they

say, two heads are better than one. This also provides a sort of camaraderie
among students.
2. ROLE PLAYING- Develops the feeling of putting oneself in another shoes.
3. GAMES- Develops a sense of belongingness among students and at the

same time prepare them both physically and mentally for the days lesson.
4. CONTESTS- Maximize the value of sportsmanship, fighting spirits and

develop the potentials.
5. OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES- This is one way of learning through outdoor
observations.
6. REPORTING- To overcome shyness and to learn on their own through

exertion of efforts.
7. CLIPPINGS- Resourcefulness is being developed.
8. COMIC STRIPS- Portrayal of environmental situations/phenomena.

9. DRAWINGS/DIAGRAMS- Learning by drawing, develop their skills, creativity
and artistic skills.
10.WORD DRILL/JUMBLED WORDS/ LOOP A WORD- To set the minds of the

students, lead the to the days lesson by giving clues.
UTILIZATION OF ANECDOTAL RECORDS
Monitoring of students behavior, attendance and academic

performance is very important in their continuous progress. In Grade 10-Jade
in order to monitor these as an adviser I utilized anecdotal records to make
sure that I also monitor my students even when Im not in my classroom to
give them the proper guidance that they need.

REPORT
JUNE 2015-AUGUST 2015
The Youth for Environmental School Organization (YES-

O) together with Science Club launched a contest BEST
PLASTIC BOTTLE COLLECTOR and MOST
ENVIRONMENTALIST SECTION in order to install and imbibe
among students discipline in proper waste management and
at the same time to have an additional fund upon selling the
plastic bottle collected to be use in different activities of
Science Club and YES-O.
The following are the result of the mentioned

2015 with the THEME: Pushing the Frontiers of Science and

Science education aims to develop scientific literacy among students that will prepare
them up to be informed and participative citizenz who are able to make judgements and
decisions regarding application of scientific knowledge that may have social, health or
environmental impacts.
Hand in hand with the objectives of the Department of Education to promote Science and

FIRST SEMESTER
I.INTRODUCTION
The job of science education is to teach students how to how
to use thematic patterns of science to communicate meanings,
talking science to solve problems in writing or speaking about
issues in which science is relevant. Science education aims to
develop scientific literacy among students that will prepare them up
to be informed and participative citizens who are able to make
judgements and decisions regarding application of scientific
knowledge that may have social, health or environmental impacts.
The science curriculum recognizes the place of science and
technology in the civic, personal, social, economic and values and
ethical aspects of life.
Hand in hand with the objectives of the Department of

Education there is a need for a teacher to mold the students minds
scientifically, help prepare their future such that he or she can use
the resources of the Erath and contribute to Science and Technology
development.

5. Employed new grading system in computing the

V. PHYSICAL FACILITIES
1. Functional laboratory room.

2. Every section provided three(3) garbage cans for
biodegradable, non-biodegradable and recyclable as a
mean of waste segregation as one of the project of
YES-O/Science Club.
3. Maintained the cleanliness of the Science Park and
Medicinal Garden.
4. Monitored dengue cases through OL Trapping.
V. SPECIAL PROJECT
1. Constructed and maintained mini-nursey.
