Scrum is designed to ensure value delivery to the business through teamwork among the

members towards a common business goal. Scrum master enhances team members interaction

which promotes business value. A football coach team ensures coordination and collaboration of

the team members. Project managers on the other hand act as leaders who execute the project

plan to achieve its objectives. They set the direction of the team, coordinate the activities, and

motivate the team members as well as assigning jobs and tasks. A teacher in a classroom who

just organizes students into groups and supervises them as they discuss is an example of a project

manager.

Scrum master responds to updates and changes in a plan within the team during a project to

ensure the achievement of the best outcome. A football coach closely follows any changes or

updates that might happen and informs the team for proper planning. The project manager keeps

the project on track by checking the progress, figuring out reasons for deviation from the plan

and applying corrective measures by proper strategizing. A teacher checks the progress of the

groups as they discuss and guides any group that goes wrong.

Scrum masters ensure that the team focuses and works towards value increment of a projects

value in every sprint rather than mere completion. The scrum master and the team ensures that it

is of shippable quality. A scrum master in a cooking crew points out any unusual thing during the

cooking processes and also holds a discussion after the whole process where they focus on what

to do in the next session to increase value. Project managers, on the other hand, draw the plan to

be followed including the procedures to be undertaken in completing the project. They focus on

the completion of the project more than on the quality. A manager in dairy farm only focuses on

drawing a schedule that is to be followed by workers in the farm like feeding cows and milking

and ensures the schedule is followed.

Agile product management methodology can be used in a hotel kitchen whereby, the leader can

work together with the chefs in ensuring that a meal. Unusual things are pointed out, they work

together as a team and they hold discussions later after a cooking session on how to improve on

the products and the issues to avoid. Software product development can be treated differently

from non-software development products because of the quality of the end product. Software

development product is of high quality as compared to non-software product development.

Software development products also enhance evolutionary development and development,

adaptive planning, continuous improvement as well as reliability in terms of time since they are

in specific periods. The enhancing of different mindsets and thinking capabilities also makes the

software product development set apart as it facilitates continuous improvements. Non-software

product development is mostly about the number of products while software product

development is of quality.
