INTRODUCTION

1.1 ISSUE BACKGROUND


Currently the world's growing nursing. The nurse is regarded as one of the health
professionals should be involved in health development goals both globally and in
Indonesia.
Over time, and increased health care needs require nurse currently has the knowledge
and skills in various fields. This time the nurse has a wider role with an emphasis on
health promotion and disease prevention, as well as a comprehensive view of clients.
Nurses carry out functions in relation to the various roles caregivers, clinical and ethical
decision makers, protector and advocate for clients, case managers, rehabilitator,
communicator and educator

DISCUSSION

2.1 HEMODIALISIS ROOM

Hemodialysis : Also spelled hemodialysis, commonly called simply dialysis or kidney
dialysis, is a process of purifying the blood of a person Whose kidneys are not working
normally. This type of dialysis Achieves the extracorporeal removal of waste products
such as creatinine and urea and free water from the blood when the kidneys are in a state
of kidney failure. Hemodialysis is one of three renal replacement therapies (the other two
being kidney transplant and peritoneal dialysis). An alternative method for extracorporeal
separation of blood components such as plasma or cells is apheresis.

Nurses duties in the hemodialisis room :

check the patient's vital signs and talk with them to assess their condition
teach patients about their disease and treatment and answer questions
supervise dialysis treatment from start to finish
make sure the patient is given the correct medication ordered by their doctor
evaluate the patient's reaction to dialysis treatment and drugs
support the entire care team in providing quality care

2.2 MATERNITY WARD

Maternity ward is : a room or area in a hospital which provides care


for pregnantwomen, women who have recently given birth, and newborninfants.

2.3 ORTHOPEDYC WARD


Orthopedyc ward is : ward which deals with skeletal and bone problems

Nurses duties in the orthopedycward :

1. Nurses carry out a assessments,prioritizing nursing problems and plan nursing actions
in patients ahead of surgery based format documented nursing care in the patient file.
2. Nurses prepare clients assuring that the client has been well prepared
3. Prepare the necessary tools in the orthopedic, prepare the instruments steril
4. The nurse as an assistant operator at operation (manage and regulate the instruments of
operation)
5. Treating patients,assessing vital signs and perform nursing care.

2.4 CARDIOLOGYCAL WARD


Cardiology is : a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the heart as well as
parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of
congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and
electrophysiology.
Although the cardiovascular system is inextricably linked to blood, cardiology is
relatively unconcerned with hematology and its diseases. Some obvious exceptions that
affect the function of the heart would be blood tests (electrolyte disturbances, troponins),
decreased oxygen carrying capacity (anemia, hypovolemic shock), and coagulopathies.

Nurse duty in Cardilologycal room:


1. Examines the role of the patient's medical history,, history of previous surgery,
previous treatments, history of allergy and vascular risk factors.
2. Observation and measurement of vital signs (changes in ECG, blood pressure, HR, RR,
and O2 saturation)

3. Conducting Investigations like ECG results, the results of exercise testing cardiac load
(treadmill), thorax X-ray results, and the results of laboratory, complete blood check,
GDS, urea, creatinine,, electrolytes, PT, APTT, BT, and ACT.
