LESSON FOCUS: Cooperative Games

STUDENT PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lesson, the students should be able to:
1.) Psychomotor: Engage in all activities by actively contributing to solving a problem throughout the lesson when observed by
the teacher (MACF 2.2)
2.) Cognitive: Identify the most effective way to solve a problem in a group when by succeeding on at least two activities
throughout the lesson (MACF 2.5).
3.) Affective: Demonstrate respect and sportsmanship to classmates by giving positive feedback to peers at least once
throughout the lesson while observed by the teacher (MACF 2.7)

Teacher Performance Objectives: during the lesson the teacher will:


1. Provide feedback to five students, using their name correctly
2. Debrief after each activity, focusing on the attitudes and behaviors students are taking to reach their goal.

TIME SEQUENCE OF LESSON ORGANIZATION REFLECTIONS

Introduction: Teachers will introduce the objectives and


schedule for the day

Set Induction: Team building is a skill that is used


throughout ones lifetime, in all social situations. Working
together in a group to reach a common goal, is seen in
sports, in the classroom,and in occupations. Learning to
work in a group helps advance communication and social
skills.

Activity 1: Cyclops Tag


Students will get with a partner that they work well with.
They will play tag with this partner

Form O shape with non-dominant hand

Activity two: Warp Speed


Informing: Students will get in a group and form a line.
The goal is to pass the hula hoop from one end to the
other. Students will be in a line holding hand. Students
cant break the line. Students need to figure out ways how
to pass the hoop from one side to the other.
Demonstration: Demonstrate one way to pass the hoop
to get students thinking
Application: Students will participate in activity

Activity three: Helium Hoop


Informing : Students will break up into small groups. Get
in a circle, a hula hoop will be placed in the center of the
group. They will hold the hoop about chest height just
using the side of their index finger. It should look like they
are pointing at something with both hand while holding up
the hoop. The group will need to lower the hoop to the
ground a a group. Everyone must remain in contact with
the hoop.
Demonstrations: Teacher will show students how to hold
up hoop with fingers

Application: Students will get into groups and perform


the activity Helium Hoop
