For this activity the students will use the Quizlet app to
prepare for the upcoming test on the current unit.
Students will work in small groups (depending on the size
of the class) during class to make flash cards on certain
key terms and key events on certain subjects in the current
unit in class. The students will then be able to share their
Quizlet list with the other students in the class so everyone
will be able to use them to study for the upcoming test.
Each group will be assigned a certain subtopic of the
Current lesson.
Being the teacher, I will go over the basic features of this
app and what all I expect from my students while showing
them the proper way to make the flash cards so that
everyones flash cards look exactly the same as the other
students flash cards. The students have a choice to take
notes on either their smartphone, laptop, or iPad
depending on their preference.

This app is easy to download from the iTunes app store
and google free play on your smartphone, iPad, or laptop.
This app helps with creating flashcards to help student
memorize key events and key terms pertaining to the
current unit.
In this activity, students will use the OneNote app on
their smartphone, laptop, iPad, etc. Students will be
able to form their own study groups. Depending on the
class size there will be about 4-5 students per group.
During class, students can use the app to take notes,
write down key terms and dates, and also very
important events that happened during this time frame
of U.S. History. Students will be able to share their
notes with everyone in their groups so they can help
each other study and prepare for this units test.
As the teacher, I will go over how to use the app with
students that have never used it before. I will also go
over some specifics about the app and some things I
expect them to do by demonstrating to the kids on how
I want them to use the app while taking notes. The
students have a choice to take notes on either their
smartphone, laptop, or iPad depending on their
preference.

and google free play on your smartphone, iPad, or
laptop. This app allows you to take notes as well as
take a picture of the whiteboard or PowerPoint and to
add notes to them. You are also able to easily share
notes with fellow group members while being able to
edit other group members notes. It is a great app for
one student to focus on one subject and the other
members focus on their own topic as well.
