does the teacher use small group instruction? Mrs. Sherry used small group instruction frequently. Station worked was implemented while I was there. Mrs. Sherry also pulled groups aside for those who needed extra help. 2. When students are placed in small groups, how is grouping formed? Heterogeneously or by some other method? What representation of ability grouping or distribution do you note? While students are working in stations, students are able to sit wherever they choose. There is a diverse variety of ability in each group. 3. Does the teacher review and adjust groups often, moving students when achievement levels change? When the students are placed at the table where Mrs. Sherry provides extra help, students are moved back to their seats when achievement levels change. She adjusts the group according to the need of her students.
