Provide samples of questions/prompts to be given to students:
What holiday is celebrated in December with lights and Santa Claus?
Why do we celebrate Presidents Day?
What holiday falls on a Thursday every year?
Right/Wrong Answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions? Yes No
Mixed (Some will have correct answers, others will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback:
Will you pre-select correct answers to some or all of the questions and display correct response to the class
after the SRS activity? Yes No
Why or why not? This allows the students to get immediate feedback keeping track of who is winning the
game.
Use of data: There will be some data that is collected during this game. After each question that is
answered the teacher will be able to view how many people got the answer correct, or incorrectly. At the
end of the game the teacher will see who won the game and how many points each student received.

Describe what will occur after the SRS activity:

After the completion of this activity the teacher will have the opportunity to do a reteach activity allowing
the teacher to review the questions that the students got wrong. This will allow the students an opportunity
to gain a better understanding of the lesson.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity.
This was my first time creating a Khoot! and I really enjoyed the process. My hope for creating these types
of activities is to give the students a better opportunity to practice what they are learning in a fun and
engaging way. I really hope that it allows me to explore more options with my students expanding on a
lesson that I have taught them allowing them to learn more and more.
