How it Works

Step 1: Go to www.goformative.com.

Step 2: Scroll down on the Home page and sign up for a Teacher or Student account

Step 3.1: You can sign up as a Teacher by using Google, Clever or another email address.

Once you have created a Teacher account you will be sent to this page.

Step 3.2: You can sign up as a Student by using Google, Clever or another email address.

Once you create a Student account you are sent to this page that requires a class code.

Creating Assignments

Step 4: When logged in, click on New Assignment to begin working on the test.

Step 5: Name the assessment and click Add Question.
Step 6: Choose the type of question desired for your assessment.

Image: an image can be attached to the test question.


Text Block: a text block can be added to the test.
View-Only Canvas: can be used for graphs attached to the questions.
YouTube: a video can be attached to your test.

Adding Documents

Documents can be
added to your test by
simply dragging in or
clicking on the box.

Step 7.1: After creating the test questions you can Preview and Assign the
test to the students.

Step 7.2: Select between the test options: Open, Closed with Scoring
and Instant Scoring.

Step 8: Once the test is created you can Edit, Assign it to the class, you can view
Live Results and Share with Teachers.

Live Results
Step 9: When viewing Live Results students can be sorted by name, score or last response.
Step 10: The teacher has the option of showing or not showing the student names.

Step 11: The grade can be assigned automatically or manually.
Step 12: A new grading and feedback window can be opened by clicking Zoom.

Step 13: At the end of the test, the teacher has the option of seeing a
summary of the answers or each question individually.
