REGULATION ORDINANCE NO.. 2009-342


AN ORDINANCE AMENDING REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2002-246
ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN EXPANDED TRUCK BAN
IN SPECIFIC STREETS IN THE CITY OF ILOILO AND APPROPRIATING THE
AMOUNT OF FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS (P50,000.00) AS INITIAL FUNDING
THEREOF" BY ADDING PROVISIONS ON VEHICLES CLASSIFIED AS
MJNI-LORRIES OR SMALL-TANK TRUCKS TASK TO DELIVER DIESEL
FUEL TO COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS JN THE CITY OF ILOILO

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Iloilo, in a session


assembled that:

Section 1. - Section 2, City Proper Section, of Regulation Ordinance No. 2002-246 is


hereby amended by adding the following paragraph after the last paragraph, to wit:

Mini-lorries shall be allowed to traverse any street in the City oflloilo at


anv time of the day for the purpose of delivering DIESEL FUEL ONLY to
commercial establishments ordering the same."

Section 2. - Section 3 of Regulation Ordinance No. 2002-246 is hereby amended by


adding the following provision and shall now read as follows, to wit:

"Section 3. - For the purpose of this ordinance, trucks are classified


according to their sizes:

a. Small trucks - trucks having the size of 8 ' x 20' or less shall use
yellow colored stickers
b. Medium trucks - trucks having the size of 8' x 21 ' to 8' x 24 ' shall use
green colored stickers
c. Big trucks - trucks having the size of 8' x 25' or more shall use red
colored stickers
d. Mini-Lorry - for the purposes of this ordinance shall mean a small-
tank truck with dimension of six 6> feet or less in width by eighteen
(18) feet or less in length, curvingDIESEL FUEL ONLY.

To ensure the effective implementation of the provisions of the ordinance,


the City Government of Roilo will provide the "Truck Ban Stickers" which shall
be posted on windshields by the truck owners or operators. Without the "Truck
Ban Stickers", no truck shall be allowed to pass through, park, to loan and
unload on streets covered by this ordinance.

Before the issuance of "Truck Ban Stickers", it shall be the duty of the
TMEU to conduct the measurements in order to determine the actual size of the
trucks.

Section 3. Any provision of Regulation Ordinance 2002-246 inconsistent herewith is


hereby amended.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval and publication.
