to the Renaissance in Europe in terms of its impact on Western
civilization by
c) citing artistic, literary, and philosophical creativity, as
contrasted with the medieval period, including Leonardo da
Vinci, Michelangelo, and Petrarch;

Pedagogy Activity The teacher will present a lesson on the importance of art
leading up to and during the Renaissance period in Europe
using prezi. At the end of class, students will chose from a list
of artists from this period of time. They will leave class with a
rubric for the assignment and the name of their artist. At the
end of the week, students will present their Prezi
presentations to the class and demonstrate what they learned
about the Renaissance period and its influence on artists
through their own creations.
Technology Technology I will be using Prezi on computers with internet access. I will
first teach my lesson using Prezi, noting how it works and what
techniques I used to create my presentation. Students will
then use Prezi to create a presentation for the class about a
particular artist and how their work was influenced by their
environment (socially, politically, economically, etc.).
Link to the The example link I am providing is a Prezi I made in the 10th
example grade. I remember how much I learned because of how much I
product enjoyed creating the presentation. Frida Kahlo is still a subject I
love to read and learn about today. That is why I chose Prezi for
my students to create their own presentations.
