Beam Columns

Beam columns are members subject to combined flexure (bending


moment) and axial force (tension or mostly compression force)
Failure may occur due to
Local buckling
Overall member strength which consider the effect of the members
slenderness, overall bucking, and/or lateral torsion-flexure buckling.
